I love these grow mats to use as an alternative to normal potting soil when it comes to microgreens. It takes a bit to get used to how often you need to water them, but once you know what to look for they are easy to take care of. The mat is easy enough to cut down if you want to grow in smaller trays, and now I'm not bringing in fungus gnats with ever new bag of potting soil. And I can just chuck them in the compost once I've harvested, making clean up a breeze.

I used these mats to grow some radish micro greens and they turned out great! This worked out way better than soil and the final result was cleaner. These are great for those growing micro greens in their homes, especially apartments where you don’t always have soil around.

These grow mats are great. I've been able to cut them down to fit my containers and they are easy to wash and reuse (I let them dry out completely between plantings). I can also just compost any mat trimmings or worn out mats. This is making growing small batches of microgreens so much easier. I really didn't want to use soil, because I'm growing indoors and I don't want gnats. These work out perfectly.

These plant grow mats seem nice. They don't have any strange or bad smells, so it makes me confident they are pure jute. They feel thick and cut easily with heavy duty shears. There's a little dust that is expelled when they are moved/manipulated. I tried growing microgreens in these. It seemed to work in the first few days, but developed mold. I'm not sure if it's my area of high humidity, since this is a result I've gotten with other mats. It seems to be good quality and is what it's supposed to be, overall. Perhaps I am just not good at managing the mold issue of my area.
