I am absolutely thrilled with this pen, most people will probably be drawn towardsthe fountain pen version, but I wanted an everyday, easy to use pen that was both a pleasure to use, and look at; my wife has owned a Waterman Carene ballpoint for many years, and I've always enjoyed how it feels to write with, now I finally have my own, and couldn't be more pleased. The occasional little bit of indulgence never hurts.

I love Waterman pens. This one is beautiful to look at and a real delight to use. It feels perfectly balanced and I feel I could write all day with it.

A fabulous pen that has an air of quality beyond the packaging. The package box has a pattern of lines that echoes those found on the pen top itself. Once you open the box it starts to feel that the packaging experience is little less special.The pen itself is beautifully made with a solid brass body that is coated with a deep black lacquer, gold metallic accents are on the pen clip, around the pen tip and on the top of the sloping edge on the very top. The pen feels both reassuringly solid but also lightweight when writing. This is possibly due to the shorter 13cm length of the pen. The silver part of the cap has the same series of lines crafted in to the metal as was seen on the outside of the box. Waterman says it took inspiration for this design from the light playing on the ripples of the River Seine in Paris. I think they are a nice touch that adds to the overall impression that this pen is a bit special.Writing with the pen is a really nice experience, with always smooth flowing ink from the refillable ball point. Writing for long periods of time is something few people do, but when you do it with this pen it's a comfortable and rewarding experience. The ball point tip never clogs, nor has a build-up of ink around it, so characters are well formed with no expected blobs.If you want the smoother feel of writing with a Waterman pen, they have others pens in the range that use the same refills, but there is something quite pleasant about using a pen that makes you think a little more about the words you put on the page.The key question is if the pen is worth the money. You can buy a lot of other pens for much less and they will happily write your weekly shopping list, but that is not what this pen is for. This is a pen to help you enjoy writing and it brings a sense of refinement and class that you feel every time you write with it.

Nice solid design, looks fantastic with a slim profile and subtle detailing and a very high-quality finish, very elegant.A pleasure to write with as always with Watermans, produces wonderfully crisp lines. Despite its slimmer form factor, it's very comfortable to use.Fantastic quality all-round, including in the presentation, so would make a lovely gift too, especially as it’s a real treat to use.

Waterman nunca decepciona.

J'ai acheté ce stylo plume car ça faisait un moment que je voulais m'acheter un beau stylo haut de gamme.Je suis absolument conquis par ce stylo plume qui, d'une part fonctionne à merveille, et d'autre part est tout simplement sublime.Les finitions or sont magnifiques et je ne pouvais pas rêver trouver meilleur stylo.La qualité est aussi incroyable que le design, j'adore !
