YESTAR Retractable Garden Hose Reel Wall Mounted 1/2" x 82+6.5 Feet Garden Hose Reel Auto Slow Return System, Portable Hand Carried and 180 Degree Swivel Bracket

I had purchased this item 4 years ago and still using it with no problems. At that time brand was not YESTAR.I needed an additional one this year and wanted to buy the same item. But this time, brand was changed but the design was the same.First item I got was leaking badly. I found out that some of the screws holding the housing together was missing. I requested a replacement and returned the defective unit.The second item I got had a problem with hose retracting mechanism. It makes strange noises when rewinding the hose and around 10 ft of the hose remains out. It is also going back. Definitely the quality is not same as before.I will go ahead and purchase a different brand.

Before this hose real. I would find the old hose laying in a pile in front of my old hand crank hose real. Now the hose is always wound up and put away. We actually use the hose more to water plants than before, so the gardens are looking better. Bird baths always have fresh water. It's just so much easier to use than before. We will never go back. With all the added use this thing gets it still good as new! I even find myself cleaning my motorcycle more. This thing is a win, win!

The reel spring is a bit much to pull the hose repeatedly with one hand, while holding the reel with the other. But hey... an awesome workout on tricepts!The true value is automatic retract/rewind of the hose. Take your time reeling back in, as it WILL evac the remaining water in hose. If you’re in a hurry, set it down and come back to it later, as you could damage / wear-out the spring.seller: This item is missing a clip that holds the threaded nut in-place at the end of the hose. It may be a manufacturer flaw, but I doubt it. I used a pipe-cleaner to hold it in place, and replacing the inner seal. Reading reviews? contact me

I was looking for a longer retractable hose and this fit my requirements both for length and not being too expensive. It has a strong retracting spring, so you have to pull pretty hard to get the hose out. But once you pull it out and it locks in place there is no pressure. An unexpected benefit is the 1/2" hose doesn't damage my plants and bushes like my old 3/4" hose did. And it still provides good water flow and pressure. Of course not like a 3/4" hose, but plenty for the multi-spray wand I keep attached to it.

I waited a few weeks to post my review.. Mounting was very easy. It comes with mounting hardware, but I had to mount to stucco so I used a drill bit to widen the plastic bracket holes slightly (this took seconds to do). I used the 3/16"x 1 3/4" Tapcon concrete kit which included the drill (saw on Youtube and it was easy to do). Once the bracket was mounted the unit slipped right into the bracket. There is a place on the bottom of the reel to attach a lock and I did this in order to protect my investment. The hose and fittings are of high quality and after pulling and returning the hose back into place many times I have to say that it works very smooth and without a hitch. I highly recommend this product!

I like that the reel is retractable. Therefore, it's much easier to put away. And the mechanism helps to distribute the cord evenly across the reel. The hose is much longer than I would expect since it is retractable. It just over 80'. But the hose itself is very lightweight and therefore, I wonder how long it will hold up. Will have to review the durability in the future. But the entire encasement comes off for storage during the winter. That's helpful.

Keep in mind the diameter of the hose will affect water pressure

I wasn’t able to install this until I added an additional hose bib at garage corner. The flow is inadequate for the amount of pressure I have.I’m sure it would be a great unit if you don’t need a lot volume at the hose end!
