A very well made product, very light to carry and the handsfree works fine with a little bit of fiddling to get the clips in the right place on your kit. Once the clips are positioned it is a doddle to use.My usual pattern is to buy something cheaper, then regret it, and buy what I should have done in the first place.My only criticism of this umbrella is the lack of a belt loop on the sleeve.

This is a wonderful umbrella for hiking. But it is meant for the sheltering from rain. I actually need it for shielding from the Sun during my walks. It is extremely hot in my home country. Nevertheless until they make one for both purposes.The only set back is the way it is shipped to me in a huge huge box. The postal service charges by weight or size whichever comes first. I bought it knowing that it is a very light (but strong) umbrella. So I was shocked the postal service charged me a huge amount because of the size of the box the umbrella is packed into.

Enjoyed using this umbrella for 2 years of very infrequent use. A very functional practical umbrella with useful extendable handle but considering the price it costs I would have hoped for better quality. Shook it off the other day with a light open close and one of the arms snapped nearest to the nylon and tore a two inch hole through it. Shame the plastic arms have become brittle. Won't be being another at that price.

My husband has one of these and he loves it. He uses it when he goes out hiking, in warm wet weather it's far more comfortable than wearing cagoule and over trousers, quicker to set up and quicker to put away - ideal for showery weather. It is large enough to keep the rucksack dry and seems very robust - he's not the gentlest of people with his gear.The hands free option is great if he needs to use poles or if he is photographing or bird watching in the rain.He recently found the bungee cords were damaged and a quick email to the company was dealt with promptly and they were replace - brilliant customer service.
