Top Notch Design
Although I haven't yet used any of the test batch of colloidal silver I made (so can't speak regarding effectivity at this point), I am thoroughly impressed with this product. I did try the "laser pointer test" before and after processing the distilled water and there is definitely a concentration of invisible, reflective particles in the resulting solution which wasn't there before initiating the process.Speaking as an Electrical Engineer, this product is designed pretty much exactly the way I would have designed it! Most "consumer" colloidal silver generators produce particular concentrations based on a number of assumptions which may not be true: A specific amount of water; the generator running for a specific amount of time and producing a particular current. You have control over the amount of water and the amount of time (although it is highly recommended with that kind of generator, that you connect it to a count-down timer so you don't have to be around to turn it off when the time is up). Those generators apply a constant voltage to the silver electrodes, so the current flow through the water between the electrodes varies over time because the conductivity of the water changes as silver molecules are injected into the solution. The result is the rate of silver molecule injection varies with time also. The Proton takes a different approach. It uses a microprocessor to run the show, producing a constant current through the solution, adjusting the current as the conductivity of the solution changes over time. This produces a constant rate of silver injection. Since the Proton monitors the conductivity of the solution in order to keep the current constant, that means it can also determine the concentration of silver, regardless of the amount of water used, and automatically turns off when the desired concentration is reached regardless of how much time has passed. It is fully automatic, set-and-forget.If you decide you want to try a different concentration other than the default 10 ppm (SILVEREngines doesn't recommend doing that, based on current science regarding colloidal silver), there are two buttons on the front which allow you to change the concentration setting. The method is a bit arcane, as the Proton has no alphanumeric display, menus or other controls, but you *can* do it and it's not something you would likely do often. To change the concentration with constant voltage generators, you vary the amount of time you let the generator run, but given the rate of silver injection varies over time, the result is not likely to be as accurate or reliable as the Proton. The Proton has 3 LEDs on the front:The Red LED indicates the initial distilled water is too conductive and therefore not pure enough to use (the Proton will not run if that is the case). Only pure, steam-distilled water should be used. Filtered water, no matter how good, will probably have too many conductive impurities in it. I'm not implying those impurities are a health hazard, but they will interfere with the process so it won't work properly with any kind of Colloidal Silver Generator. If the water passes the initial conductivity test, the Blue LED will begin flashing, indicating colloidal silver generation is occurring. When the desired concentration of silver is reached, the green LED will light steadily to indicate the process is finished.I also like the fact the device is powered by a Micro-USB connector which opens things up to a wide variety of power sources. Obviously it can be powered by USB wall adapters, cell-phone power banks (solar or otherwise), USB ports on laptops, etc. I successfully operated the Proton from a solar panel with a 12VDC-to-USB adapter. Just for grins, I even powered it by a hand crank generator with a USB output, so if you're looking for off-grid or survivalist solutions for producing colloidal silver, the Proton is hard to beat (though hand-cranking the generator for several hours would be less than fun).It warms my heart the plastic parts are 3D-printed, avoiding the tooling expense of injection molding which in the past has made low volume production of products like this impractical. While there is nothing I don't like about the product, there are some suggestions I would offer. As SILVEREngines mentions all over the place, water and electronics don't mix and you need to be careful you don't get the electronics module wet. I would avoid the issue by potting the electronics in silicone caulk or epoxy. It would be nice if the mechanical support for the electronics, which rests on the rim of the jar containing the water, were adjustable (or simply bigger) to handle different-size jar openings--even Mason jars come in different mouth sizes.Finally--this is asking a lot--it would be uber-cool if you could program the concentration settings via a computer over the USB connection (and monitor the concentration and maybe there are other things you could program as well...).

Very easy to use!
I have been looking at ionic colloidal silver generators for several years, and stumbled across this one. I loved how portable it was, and I don't have to worry about timers or stirring. Immediately after it came, I set it up according to the instructions, let it go after getting the blue light (to verify pure water), and four hours later, came back to my kitchen to a green light. I did use a coffee filter for a small amount of sediment, but the water itself was still clear. I will also note that they included a way to switch your PPM for 5 different levels, and the default setting is at 10 PPM, which I used. The package shipped the same day that I ordered it, so I am very happy with my purchase and the seller. I was a little wary to order form their site because I couldn't find any online reviews (of course that can be hard to find sometimes too!), so I figured since they were selling on Amazon, I would take the chance. I did also check out honeycolony since they apparently make the same model for them, just different branding.I am happy to have this to help us through cold and flu season and will be using it for various health uses and cleaning through the house.

Buy with caution!
I purchased and the plastic part that hold the device isn’t super sturdy. The price point isn’t worth it to me. It says don’t let the device get wet because it will void the warranty. But the plastic piece isn’t sturdy enough to honor that warranty. So guess what I bought another brand because it popped and dropped. Now I can say that I did get a good ionic silver but didn’t get the value for what I purchased because you can only make a little at a time. I am not going to encourage nor discourage this purchase but I will say buy with caution. I’m not going to write a sparking review for a $10 Amazon gift card . Anyone who is buying something like this is serious about their health and you should have honest reviews. I lost my money 💰 no fault of my own. I am awaiting another product more sturdy and doesn’t have a flimsy setup . The four hour time and small increments made it inconvenient to fill the jars I purchased here. However I can say that the little bit I got out of it has kept me from coming down with a cold/flu. Again buyer beware.

Much safer than modern meducenes and no side effects.
Much quicker than what I bought 20 years ago.But so much easier to use and get good results.Kinda pricey with payback around 3 gallons or so.Probably give some away as before but quit back then cuz others were to cheap to make their own.I now have6 quarts in the cupboard and will use it in bath, on cuts or wounds, and internally occasionally. I used it in a Nasal Spray atomizer in nose and throat when working in groups. I don't use nor trust modern synthetic medicine but keep myself healthy.

Excellent Product
The seller is the creator of the product and he very knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. I have been using the SILVEREngine for several months it works reliably as advertised. The SILVEREngine eliminates the guesswork of creating ionic silver and is easy to use.
