Perfectly fine, but missing the normal UK mains plug!!
I've bought this turntable before, straight from the Stanton company (via Amazon). However with my more recent purchase of the second turntable, I decided to go through a cheaper alternative, an Amazon user called 'GEKKO100'. This did not turn out well as I was sent a European mains plug rather than the UK mains plug. This was not a massive problem, but it was slightly annoying; seeing as I'd forked out the cash to get it. So my advice would be to go through the proper website (via Amazon or from the website).

The sound is startling and made my old Goldring 99 sound dull.
A superb turntable. Came so quick I never had time to clear the unit. The sound is startling and made my old Goldring 99 sound dull.

Great deck for the record collector - just needs a pre-amp
After using an older deck and missing my record collection through seeing records at charity shops and wanting to get in I finally plucked up the courage to buy a decent solid deck. This was the one I have chosen and boy, is she a beauty. Solid with a satisfying weight to it. I'm listening to Breakfast in America as I'm writing this review and I've listened to CD's for the best part of 20 years. This deck exudes a clarity and soundspace that I've never experienced before from CD's or any other deck I've had in the past. As it states above it needs a pre-amp, but this will give you the best possible sound rather than a cheap flimsy belt driven (did i mention it was direct drive too!) deck with a built in pre-amp. I'm using the around 20 quid Behringer pre-amp and am enjoying fantastically fluid sound. Remember to earth everything and you should be tickety-boo!
