Well.... opened package and it appears to be well built.... but the instructions are in Chinese or Japanese..... and since I read neither language and the pictograms are sparse at best I am inclined to just toss it in the trash and go to Walmart and purchase a similar product off the shelf06/13/2018 0030hrs***UPDATE***well..... Wheelton customer service scores a huge victory!!! within hours of my posting a negative review due to receiving their product with only Chinese instructions they took the opportunity to win me over as a customer. they emailed the installation instructions, in English!!!!well done Wheelton!! will be installing this weekend!

Bought this and cannot get fittings to fit it. It has knurled pipe thread on it, and regular pipe fittings are not compatible with it. Now I cannot get my money back.

item just as described, looks durable, easy to install, using it as pre-filter for whole home water softner, seems help with salt usage, expect it to help softner last longer.In my specific case given that my lines are 1", had to get a set of water lines to convert from 3/4" to 1", but is not affecting water pressure around my house, to the contrary noticed an improved water pressure.

Inlet and outlet threads won't match up to standard 1" pvc fittings.
