A Timeless Book
This book is as interesting for adults as it is for kids.

26 Quilt blocks with history
I had to purchase this book after checking it out at the library. I love Alphabet books and I love quilting. This book gives historical information to go along with 26 different quilt blocks (one for each letter of the alphabet). The illustrations are beautiful and charming. The text is suitable for elementary age children.

A patchwork for every letter of the alphabet
This is a lovely book by Ann Whitford Paul. If anyone needs encouragement for making a beautiful quit, for knowing the history of the pattern, for appreciating the lovely art work, this book fills the bill. Reading it out loud to students is also a great use for this book. I bought this book for me, but would happily share it with young children, and older ones too.

I quilt and teach...great history and word history!
I may even make the blocks. Great way to introduce geometry, alphabet, word etiology, and some history. You can just enjoy it as a book.It took a long time to be sent though.

Making Connections
This is a great book to help children learn historical events as well as make meaningful connections to math and quilting. It would be fun to have them make a quilt of their own. The ABC format adds to the charm of the book

Better for older children. Definitely not a preschool alphabet book
