Nice pound board for leatherwork in tight spaces.

Finally!!
I’ve tried so many kinds of rubber pads for cutting tips off of leather strap. Too hard and they crack over time. To soft and they absorb the impact of the hammer and the leather never cuts. This is perfect, and after weeks of use still shows no wear. Perfect.

Very small
Good for small items and spaces

Good Work Surface Protection
I have used one of these for years and years, and for various crafts from leather tooling to decoupage. The 6X6 is a little small for what I was intending to use it for, and in the space I use it, but that's an error in ordering. I'll make it work. I wish, now, that I had ordered the 12X12 size.

deforms easily
it worked well for the 1st month or so. but after that it began to deform. the middle of the board raises greatly. even when ironed out flat, it still deformed after a day. going to try Buckleguys board which is over an inch thick while just a few dollars more.keep in mind that it does its job of protecting your pricking irons but it cups a lot do to its thinness.

Good board, little overpriced
Good board, buy something bigger than 6" if you want to get more done with less effort and damage to your work surface and sanity. It's a great product, will buy more, but bigger next time.

Works ok, but will use something else
at first i thought it worked well but the black rubber actually rubs off and ruins the leather you are working on. your hands will turn black too. will order a clear or white one to avoid this problem.
