This stuff is amazing!!!For a year+ I had watched all the Facebook posts about this product line for beards. I was used to beard balms - and therefore passed opportunities to try this stuff.It wasn’t until a dear friend of mine gave word of mouth testimony (which happened to be in line with what I read on the ole Book of faces). Several days later, I had the opportunity to splash some oil on my beard.Out of curiosity, I looked to see if Amazon carried the butter. They did....and I’m glad they did!! This stuff does a fantastic job with my beard. The hold is superior to the balms I’ve used. The scent is fantastic - and stays present throughout the day.High quality stuff - worth every “scent”.I will be purchasing again in the future!!

I was super reluctant to pay $20 for beard butter. My normal brand was $12, but suffered from steady declining quality. I've tried a lot of beard butters. There's a lot out there that suck or smell like dollar store candles. Live Bearded beard butter is not that, it's amazing. The scent is fresh but not overpowering. I got the American and love how it smells. Sometimes I open the container just to smell it again. The butter itself is consistent, melts well in my hand and is providing great hold as my beard gets longer. On top of a great product, the Live Bearded guys are a solid group of men with an American made product.

I ordered a jar of the unscented beard butter and despite the it being available for Prime, it took over a week to arrive. I actually thought it was lost in the mail so I asked Amazon for a refund and used it to order another jar. Both jars ended up arriving the same day. I eagerly opened one of the jars to try it out and the first thing I noticed is that it appeared as thought there was no seal. When I looked at the butter itself, it looked like spoiled milk. I figured I would still try it, thinking that must just be how the butter looks.When I started applying the butter, I noticed a strong, unpleasant smell. Note that I ordered the UNSCENTED version of the product. I decided to open the second jar to see if that looked any different. Once again, it seemed as though there was not a seal and it also looked and smelled terrible. Upon further inspection, I found that the seal had somehow come off at some point before I received the package... on both jars. This brings me to the conclusion this issue has nothing to do with Amazon and all to do with Live Bearded. There are other reviews with the same issue so I would not recommend this product.

I was worried when the wilderness label vanished. This is pretty close. Scent is close enough. I am questioning the hold a little bit, seems a wee lighter than the older wilderness label. All in all, they still get a 10/10, aka 5 star from me. At this point the Live Bearded crew would have to do something horrific for me to not recommend them.

I ordered the American scent. I really like the consistency of this product. I was surprised to see that it wasn't more of a cream/lotion consistency as that was my previous experience with beard "butter". This is a bit closer to the consistency that we all associate with balm in that it is semi-solid in the jar but it does emulsify easily in your hands although it definitely does not sit as heavy or sticky in your beard as any balms I have tried. For me it is the perfect amount of hold for my beard of approximately 2" length and it does what it claims to for beard softness. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because the scent is a lot more subtle than I was expecting. I really don't detect any of the pine or cedar. I contacted LiveBearded and they did send me a replacement right away in the chance I got an off jar but the replacement was more or less the same. So A+ for customer service, A+ for beard conditioning and hold, C - B- for scent in my opinion.

I had been using a cream for about 2 years. While it was very good for moisturizing and feeding the beard, not so much for hold - especially after a couple of hours. I have been using BB for about 2 weeks now, and can say i'm much happier with the overall performance. BB has it all - moisturizing, firm hold almost all day, nice scent. I probably should have a jar at work for a "touch up".

I bought The American. When it was delivered it was all liquified from shipping and smelled awful. Absolutely terrible. The only thing I could compare it to was a rats cage at a pet store. My fiancé (who would normally say I’m wrong and that I’m being over dramatic) said it was terrible. I put it aside to return but forgot about it.

I have skin and a nose that's sensitive to added fragrances, so I bought the "Straight up" when I got the jar, the safety seal was peeling off on it's own. (not tampered because there wasn't any evidence that someone had pulled it, it was just not adhering to the surface of the rime of the jar. ) It was a bit difficult to apply, not soft like I was expecting. It also didn't do much to moisturize the skin beneath. The upshot is it holds amazingly well without wax. I'm going to use a skin moisturizer before applying this next time.Also, the natural scent is a bit unfortunate, it smells like a wooden tongue depressor, but it's not that big a dealI'm not an expert here, but I can't help but feel like this product would be elevated with some glycerin thrown in the mix.

Very disappointed. I actually love the smell, but when I opened it, was not a full container? Look at this picture.

I love the fragrance and the butter is great - very happy with the purchase.

The product truly smells unique and feels really great in the beard! A must buy!
