Great for AFOs
My daughter has Spina Bifida and wears AFOs and is also autistic with lots of sensory issues. These socks were basically made for her! They are on the more expensive side but they are very good socks and some of the only ones that she will tolerate/protect her legs well from any irritation, so they are worth it in my opinion.

Best Socks for Sensory Kids
I have twin boys and one of them has a major sensory aversion to socks. I found these socks a couple of years ago and these are the ONLY socks he will wear. Trust me, I've tried every sensory sock I could find. Now, both of boys will only wear these socks. They are expensive but totally worth it! We always buy the charcoal color which helps so they don't ever look dirty and the socks hold up better than most socks. I believe we are still using socks from our original purchase and I've purchased these socks at least 6 times. My sons are 9 years old, size 5 shoe and we wear the XL size. I'm not sure what will do when they out grow them.

Love these socks!
Excellent socks for kids with sensory issues. They do a great job not bunching up. They curl a little bit on the top but nothing that bothers my kid. They are so soft and smooth and easy to put on. Highly recommended

If the fabric type is your issue, may not work.
Unfortunately my son with sensory difficulties doesn’t like them. It seems the fabric feel and snugness isn’t what he can handle. The seam doesn’t bother him with these though.

Small
I previously bought SMO xxl socks and they were perfect. These are not the same…so not SMO.Description says not for use with AFO brace.Just FYI.

Works well with my 4.5yo's AFOs
My son needed AFOs for toe walking. These socks do a great job eliminating any irritation that might arise while wearing socks under AFOs. Little (okay, quite) pricey, which is a bummer, but it is what it is. So far so good, and I don't forsee any issues with my son wearing them.

Good for SMOs
My little one wears a 4.5-5 toddler shoe. These are medium size and are good length for SMOs. We got some large size for her AFOs and those work well for the longer length. Strangely, the medium size is folded and sewn at the top (which I like because they don’t roll) but the large size isn’t folded and sewn, so they seem like they will roll down, but I haven’t tested it yet. They do fall down some, but my little one has skinny legs. They are pretty thick, which is good for cooler weather, but I’m not sure we can wear these in the summer heat without issues.

The only socks my kid will wear!
I have a kid that shan't like the seam on socks. These are her favorite socks. I wish these were around when I was a kid. Try them - you'll be glad you did. We've had some for over a year now with no thinning or holes - still in perfect shape.
