• Plug Plant Count: 3 • We are offering three (3) Redskin (Sweet) Pepper plug plants ready for potting on and growing on in frost free greenhouse or on sunny windowsill ready for planting out as soon as last frosts have passed • A naturally dwarf pepper producing good yields of sweet-flavoured blocky green fruits, up to 80g in weight, which mature to a deep red. Ideal for windowsill or conservatory too. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. • Sweet Peppers belong to the genus Capsicum; Sweet peppers have very similar needs to the Tomato, although light levels are not so critical, owing to the lower temperatures at which Peppers should be grown to induce fruit setting. • Propagation Compost should be of pH 5.8-6.3 with medium levels of N, P, K, and Mg. High salts must be avoided. Give plants good light and space out as required, holding temperatures at not less than 22- 24oC if possible. Lower temperatures will suffice, but planting can be delayed. When plug plants arrive transplant into individual 7.5cm (3") pots of compost and grow on at a minimum temperature of 15C (59F). • When plants are well grown, transplant into baskets and containers. If the plant is suited for growing outside when all risk of frost has passed gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 - 10 days before positioning baskets outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun once all frost risk has passed. • Suitable for the vegetable garden, allotments and containers. Be prepared to water well and supplement feed with high-potash feed during season. Regular feeding is recommended.
