unfortunately, it keeps most birds away as well. was trying to keep squirrels from emptying the birdfeeders every 15 minutes, so I put the owls out, and not one squirrel showed up, but, neither did most birds. (blue jays, and crows, fear nothing)

Ordered these to keep birds away from the pool. The bottom screws on so you can add water or sand to weigh them down. Or you could probably attach to something more permanently if you were so inclined.

We got these to keep watch over our herb garden and vegetables to hopefully keep the critters out. As others have mentioned, they are lightweight, so you’ll definitely want to weigh them down or anchor them somehow. We chose to zip tie them to our fence posts, which works for us. So far so good, I haven’t noticed any squirrel holes from them burying acorns in the garden areas. Honestly they’re probably a little smaller than I had hoped and a bit overpriced at $27 for smaller than life-sized owls, but decent enough for the squirrels to be fooled I suppose.

Doesn’t work for birds

Since these guys arrived the hawks no longer circle my yard eyeing my chickens! Definitely recommend

The owls are very cheap, very light weight. There is a plug at the bottom to fill with sand but the plug does not hold the weight of the sand. if you plan on mounting this on a shelf good luck as there is nothing to grab onto. I would not recommend this product.

I loved them. They worked wonderful for fall crafting. Size is a little small than other owl decoys, but they were perfect.
