I worked at a paper company that planted 2 trees for each one cut down so I was taught paper is a renewal resource and to use it. Don't waste it but use it. So I like these a lot for that reason, egologically responsible.It is sharper than I thought it would be but the blade is too wide to really 'slice' anything, you are more like tearing. Thing can do a good job bludgeoning a slice of meatloaf though.I did wash one to see how it would hold up and while it did come out ok and could be used again, these are really single use item.Good design, fairly sturdy material, does a decent job. Not 5 stars for me, but a solid 4 stars. I'd get them again.

Purchased this product for my daughter's baby shower that we catered. Worked well with the desserts we served and it was easy for the guests to use.
