My new case has a hard shell.
After my lovely big case had been damaged in transit by H... I had to make do with a smaller one. Still sufficient for me if I'm only away for a few days. But definitely not enough when I'm travelling with my little granddaughter. Two bags and a kid are just a recipe for stress. No one wants to travel like that. Therefore, I was over the moon when the Product Testers' Club gave me the opportunity to test the Packengers Hard Shell Case. Details: The hard shell case is offered via Amazon in a choice of four colours: dark blue, light green, red, and black. For trips to the USA, Canada, Japan and so on, the suitcase features a Travel Sentry TSA combination lock with adjustable number combinations. According to the manufacturer, suitcases made from tough polypropylene are particularly suitable for frequent flyers! Particularly flexible yet tear-resistant. Includes a TSA lock with adjustable number combinations and four castors with a twin tyres and 360° rotation for optimum handling.Product: the colour is just stunning and therefore easy to spot on the baggage carousel. The lightweight construction means that the suitcase barely weighs 5 kilos. Some airlines limit inclusive luggage to 20 kg, which means that a -lightweight case is every woman's dream. ;-) The four castors, which can swivel in all directions, ensure that it's easy to transport and are virtually silent. The first thing I noticed was the combination lock. I'd never heard of the TSA before this. We also hadn't ever travelled outside Europe before. The combination lock is individually adjustable. There is also a setup guide included with the suitcase. However, it's written in English only. The built-in handles for pulling or pushing the case can be extended by about 30 cm., just by pressing a little button. Two further, fixed carrying handles are also provided. All handles offer a good grip and are made from non-slip material. Knobs are attached to one side of the hard shell case. These are designed to protect the surface when the case lies flat. The corners are reinforced separately with protective bumper edges. The zip also seems pretty tough. Time will tell, however. The interior lining is a glossy weave with the logo printed on it. A net with a variety of storage spaces allows small items in particular to be packed individually. An elastic strap is attached to the bottom to fix the contents in place. The total volume is an impressive 109 litres. The carrying capacity is simply amazing. Has the hard shell case arrived later than expected, and my short break had been over for a while by that stage, the case won't face its hardest test until August. That's when it'll be packed with my things, and my granddaughter. I'm already looking forward to finding out whether the positive first impressions are confirmed. Summary: So feminine - I think the colour is awesome. The carrying capacity and manoeuvrability ensure that even as a woman, you can be confident in travelling alone with a big suitcase. That's particularly important for me because I mostly travel with my granddaughter and need a hand free for her. The materials used in the suitcase and the wheels suggest it'll last for a long time. When we're back from our trip, I'll give another short statement. Until then, I'm really satisfied with my new case.
