C.KT3893 0.2-0.8 mm Diameter Ecotronic ESD Wire Stripping Pliers

I have used similar wire strippers for years but they only go down to 0.75mm which is a bit too large for fine microphone cables and electronics so I had to use a surgical scalpel which is fiddly and time consuming. After a lot of searching I found these which which strip from 0.8mm to 0.2mm - picking up the thinner wires where my other strippers stopped. The quality of these wire strippers is excellent - well engineered and accurately ground blades. Makes stripping fine wires a pleasure - quick and easy. The handles are comfortable moulded grips and there is a spring (which my other strippers do not have) which gently opens the blades making it easy to place the wire in the appropriate notch. There is also a simple flip lock to hold the blades closed when not in use. I had hoped to find something a bit cheaper since I will only use them occasionally - but I'm pleased that I bit the bullet and bought these which are a pleasure to use.

CK make good value tools and this is no exception. It appears robust and I expect to get several years use out of it in a semi professional work environment. The hollow ground blades minimise the chance of damaging the inner conductor. Recommended.
