The set is spoiled and cheapened by having the handles lightweight and hollowed on the reverse of the fork and spoons and fully complete and rounded with the knife. This means, particularly with the tools which will be used together - knife and fork - that the weight feels badly distributed, as inevitably they feel different from each other.Additionally the knife blade itself feels a little short. Its almost as if the knife comes from a completely different set.The knife and fork, particularly, as the tools which have the most challenging use, seemed designed by someone who doesn't use these implements. The excessive length of the handles, though elegant to look at, proved awkward to use. The hollowed out backside of the fork particularly felt thin and tinny in the hand. Worse was the fact that it was not a comfortable hold, and that thin spiky end seemed to find a way to dig into the little finger side of my palm, as I struggled to find a way to best hold this in order to do the normal work of a forkHopefully the uploaded photo shows the disparity between the rounded knife handle - which is lovely to hold - and the hollowed out , with 'stainless steel' engraved handles of the fork and spoons, The teaspoon was the best piece of the set, which is a bit damning, as the tool with the least practical demand other than perhaps spooning gelato from some thin dessert glass!

I got this cutlery set for a laugh. While the rest of my family continues to use our standard cutlery, I sit at dinner each night now with a gold knife and fork!The set is perfectly serviceable as standard cutlery with one or two minor exceptions. First of all the handles are hollow, arched around so they look good on the front but slightly uncomfortable to hold when gripping the rear. The teaspoon is absolutely tiny. The head of the knife isn't huge either but it still works perfectly well.Well presented in a cardboard box, and safely packaged inside individual plastic bags, all this has now been thrown away in the cutlery is just sitting in the drawer with all of our standard cutlery.
