I bought this blanket and a rumpl outdoors blanket. They are both amazing!!!! Consider them both, or buy both. Honestly, finally blanket technology has surpassed the good old wool blanket. Which i swore by for over a decade. It couldnt be beat. Now its the blanket i keep in my car. I love how comfortable the fleece side is, combined with the water resistant side you got a real winner. Its a little loud to use in your house because of the water resistant qualities of the one side. I still used it for a couple weeks anyways, I stopped using it because you will sweat if its 50 or 60 degrees out or in your home. If your going to use it indoors stick with the rumpl blanket, it breathes way better, as well as looking nicer than the mambe. However if i was to choose one for the outdoors. Mambe extreme cannot be beat. The coldest night i spent in it, wasnt very cold at all. mid 40s. But I can tell you, i wasnt cold at all and I slept with just my boxer shorts on. If anything, this blanket can be too hot and cause sweating. Im not sure if thats because of the heat reflection sheet not letting moisture through it or what. But my body finds it hard to breathe in this blanket. only negative thing ill say about it. Everyone else who ive talked into using it, did not have that same complaint. I tend to run hot. So it may not be the blanket at all.

I knew it wouldn't keep me warm by itself so I would have to layer, but if I layered it with a flannel blanket and comforter, it could keep me very toasty in my car with the windows cracked open in 30F temp. I think the only thing I would prefer it if the edges were softer instead of that vinyl type edging

The blanket was purchased for my ever-chilly wife, for sleeping in our home bed. I like to sleep with the room cold, but she likes it hot. Using this blanket allows me to leave the window open at night, while she is rolled up like a taco. This one does not have the crinkly insert, which I did on purpose so she doesn't wake me up at night. I am happy with the noise levels with this blanket, it does not bother me at all.

Expensive. I think it's a touch overpriced.The fleece is soft and doesn't seem likely to catch or snag. The waterproof side crinkles and is louder than I would prefer. Not a dealbreaker when sitting outside but if sitting in the car waiting, it's an annoyance.It's warm but I wouldn't say it's "extreme weather warm." I still need plenty of layers underneath. I'm glad I went for the large as I don't think the small would work to cocoon myself in. The windproof aspect is awesome though, and for that alone, I'm glad I splurged.

We've had ours now for four years. It lies on the couch on our screen porch -- gets tossed around, used for kid forts, periodically gets wet from driving rain. We wash it about once a month. And it continues to serve us well. When it gets a little chilly on the screen porch we all fight over it. Perfect for reading/watching a movie/talking with family and friends on the screen porch when it's chilly-but-not-freezing (45 - 65 degrees). Will likely buy another.

Dragged this thing all the way from California to Chicago on the Amtrak! We had plans to see a Cubs game and I was concerned about keeping warm and dry (only chance to catch the game).It packed easily into his bag (no need to get on floor and roll tighly, just roll it up and stick it in). Kept us both warm and it super comfy. Keep in in my car now, to use for picnics, etc. Really pricey, but honestly what else can you get that is this well made, pretty and warm?

Being cold is something of a constant for me. Anything below about 72 and I practically have goosebumps. This blanket kept me from suffering the way I normally might while camping (I think overnight it got down to the low 50s or upper 40s, and aside from a sleeping pad and gloves, I didn't have to use anything else.) So, so glad I invested in this.I do wish the large were just a foot or two longer, but it was a little too short for two very petite people to share comfortably.
