I have a 7,000 gallon pond with koi only. they are very pretty but not show quality. I've tried many different types of foods and as any hobbyist can attest, some of the prices are just insane. BW Gold was recommended by a local club. I was a bit skeptical b/c the price was very low compared to other brands. But Since BW uses this same food for their own inventory of koi, I decided to try it. The fish like it, their colors are still vibrant. Some users have noted that a small slick forms when you throw it in the water. that happens to be, but it doesn't bother me and it disappears quickly.

The food is pricey, but WOW! I switched to this food from a less costly brand the spring of 2018. We immediately noticed less waste, easier water care, and more active and healthy fish. Growth rates significantly improved, the fish are more active, more colorful, and healthier.
