VetCal Pro Gel is a high density calorie supplement with added vitamins and minerals. It is ideal for pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and foals which require a higher calorie input without the extra food volume. It is useful in animals recovering from surgery, debilitating disease or stress, and with weak puppies or kittens, those who have not taken well to food and older animals who cannot keep a good weight. The gel can be easily dispensed straight into the mouth or mixed with food, without the need for syringes. ...

Worked wounders
Old poorly chihuahua, vet ready to give up and wanted to put her down but I wanted to try medication, water tablets controled her heart condition but her appetite was not good at all, every food tried, she even went of fish fingers but this gel perked her right up. Quite remarkable actually. She wasn't initially keen but once she got used to it and my administration technique got better lol she took to it and quite likes it now. I squeeze large pearl size blobs onto my finger and rub it on her tongue. It definitely stimulates her appetite for normal food too.

Bought this to supplement my elderly cat who was off his food.He seems okay with taking it straight out the tube . Looks like marmite and has same gooey consistency.

Excellent product
Our little dog had ligament surgery 24.02.20 which has triggered other medical conditions including the loss of the ability to walk and front legs becoming bowed, this is all under investigation but she refused to eat point blank and lost over a kilo in weight she was only 4.8kg to start with and went down to 3.3kg. I brought this because of the calories it contains and in 3 days she has started to put weight back on. We are still having to spoon feed her but today she took some on her own!! Now I am not saying this product did that because I dont know but what it did do was put weight on her bones and she has been much happier. I had tried everything but this works well for us with Megg. iF YOUR DOG DOESNT LIKE IT MIX IT WITH LACTO FREE YOGURT

Made cat throw up.
The very thick, sticky texture was too difficult for my elderly cat to eat. When I tried mixing it into her food, it made her throw up almost immediately. Probably good for dogs, but no use for cats with missing teeth or sensitive stomachs.

Lurcher Stopped eating this really helped
Hound and Lurcher breeds are notorious for being fussy eaters or easily put off their food. I cant thank this stuff enough, ours stopped eating anything from his bowl pretty much entirely and had lost a lot of weight due to the stress from the month long fireworks. He went mad for this stuff and we were able to get him to even eat kibble (from his kong with this Gel on). During that hellish period he turned his nose up at everything from tripe, raw food, human food but not this stuff. With the help of Appetite stimulants from the vet and this stuff we were able to put 2kg on him in a week. This really helped ease our anxieties over a very difficult period.
