This is a great explanation to parents and therapists working wtih difficult children! Every principal shouls have one!
This is absolutely a must read for any therapist working with difficult children or parents too for that matter! ! I just wish that her examples of children's behaviors weren't so severe. It applies to children who by all appearance might have a 'normal' upbringing, but still have a disorganized attachment disorder!

A must read for all educators. Research based, easy to read, practical and encouraging. A great support to any school but particularly for a PB4L school.

Good introduction to trauma and behavior. If you have any background in trauma, it's probably not worth the money.
This book has some good basic information for those with no training in trauma; however, as a psychologist I was looking for more.

For all educators
This is essential reading for all teachers, Administration and support staff to really try to understand some of our very "troublesome" students and how best to help them based on the latest brain research.

Essential Reading for Trauma Sensitive School practitioners
What a fabulous and handy little book! Great strategies related to managing the Crisis Behaviour piece in Trauma Sensitive School practices. Teachers (and other school staff) will get support in changing how we view the :Lagging Skills in Behaviour Self-Regulation for children who have experienced trauma. This would be a great book for a whole-staff book study as it would allow essential conversations related to adult assumptions (and myths) about the behaviour of children to occur.
