I use this with a mix of other products. It has a very calming effect on my skin. It's a must-have for an African male with a thick beard texture.

My husband uses cheap razors on his face when shaving, and tends to get a few nicks or two each time. He rarely will moisturise his skin afterwards, and definitely doesn't do it before, so his skin is very thirsty. We have tried a few different post-shave lotions to try and get him in the habit of doing it regularly enough, but the whole "old dog new tricks" scenario. Anyway, I saw this, thought it would be worth a shot have to him try this out in hopes something would stick.The bottle looks very nice and presentable. The opening was sealed with a protective film, so I felt confident handing it over before testing it. I squeezed out a little bit on my finger and rubbed it into the back of my hand to see how it smelled and felt- it promises a lot and wanted to see for myself if it delivered. Firstly, it smells amazing! I really loved the cool, coastal and woody scent. I find it very relaxing. It absorbed really well, it was hydrating and non-greasy.So, shortly after receiving my husband shaved and tried it out. He did his normal shaving routine and at the end I helped him apply it all over his face so I could make sure his skin was getting something to drink up. It does tick the boxes of everything promised- soothing, hydrating, non-greasy, anti-redness and irritation. My husband's skin was so dry, it was complete absorbed after a few minutes. I offered to help him reapply, but skin care isn't his thing. He says he will use it again, as he also enjoyed the scent and his skin felt better.I think this would be perfect for someone with a bit better facial care routine than my husband. The scent is phenomenal, it is hydrating and non-greasy and is absorbed very quickly. Rating this a 4/5 because my husband's skin soaked it up a little too quickly and was near bone-dry after 20 minutes of application. Maybe if it was a little heavier, but it is just a personal preference. Hopefully, I will see him use it again. The smell is just so good!!

I have used Shake-Up's Face-4ward moisturising cream before which I really like so i was excited to try this offering from this premium end of the market brand.Comes in a rather normal bottle for a premium brand - but ergonomic and easy to use and extract the lotion.Scent - lightly scented - nice male-friendly woody scent - this is great as most men would want their aftershave to do the talking rather than their moisturiser.Application - a little seems to go a long way - it's not too heavy so it spreads well and easily.Definitely use a little and add a touch more if needed - definitely no need to use too much.Effect - it did soothe and smoothe my facial lines and my skin felt soft and hydrated.I used in the morning after a hot shower when the pores are more open and this worked for me.Value - it's a good sized bottle and you don't need to use too much per application so this bottle will last a good while. So I think the value is there and the price is relative to the performance of the product.Conclusion - will I buy again?Yes - I think I will - I am increasingly impressed with this brands products and, for the money, they outperform some of the larger and well known brands.

Love this cream because it doesn't create a big barrier between the hair and the blade so I can get a close shave. It feels nice on the skin and while I may still get nicks and cuts I feel overall very comfortable. Little goes a long way. Much prefer this to traditional shaving foam. Would recommend!

As of reviewing, this product costs £18.00, which I think is just quite expensive for what you're getting.It feels smooth when applied to your face after a shave, and it is not greasy like some creams. The scent is very subtle and smells quite nice when you apply it, but you can't smell much when it is on. You don't need to use a lot on your face; a small amount each time is more than enough. It does make your skin feel better and less rough after a shave. The good thing is that it is vegan and certified by PETA.Overall, I probably couldn't recommend it due to the price - but it is an alright product.

Love this product. It's non-greasy and smells great. After shaving, it makes my face feel cool and smooth. I also like the fact that it's a vegan product.

I mainly use an electric shaver and then occasionally a wet shave, but have not been able to do either recently due to a bout of shingles that affected one side of my face. The sores healed over but have left me with red and sore patches around the side of the mouth and under the chin, and of course a beard which had me constantly itching, so that's now gone. I had then been using antiseptic cream but it only seemed to work a short while, then I saw this shaving lotion and decided to give it a try.The tube of lotion is nicely presented and not at all flashy, a bit too big for my bathroom cabinet but it sits upright at the back of the sink easily enough, out of the way. A little of the lotion seems to go a long way. It's very lightly scented, not too greasy and best of all it's definitely cooling and soothing - although it does need a bit of gentle massaging in to avoid any surface residue remaining.So far, so good. My skin seems smoother, less prickly and red after just a few day use. I'll work my way through the tube and will certainly consider getting more of this lotion, but it's a bit pricey so may look at possible alternatives too.
