Pro Art Hard Bound Sketch Book 5.5"X8", 110 Sheets

This is literally only journal I'll use. I have been purchasing these year-round for about 8 years now. I've bought multiple different sizes (the 4"x6", 8.5"x11", & 5.5"x8") and the quality has all been excellent. My preferred size is the 5.5"x8" because it has adequate space and is also still compact enough to keep in my purse. Even with carrying them in my purse every single day I've only had two over the years that I needed to reinforce with some duct tape. I have tried other sketchbook/journals that appear identical, but they definitely are not. This Pro Art brand's is much more sturdy and better quality, including heavier weight paper. The pages are sturdy enough to handle glue & light, as well as having ni coasting.

I bought the Oberon leather journal cover and did not like the journal refill that came with it as it feathered and bleeded through even when I used an extra fine fountain pen. Oberon recommends this sketch book for fountain pen users. A this affordable price, I gave it a try. The book is a bit smaller than the journal that came with the Oberon leather cover so the fit is a bit looser. There is also more pronounced grain detail on the cover. There is a very slight texture to the paper, similar to bond paper. It writes beautifully. No feathering or bleed-through from my fountain pen! I love it! I also love this price since most fountain pen friendly journals are 2X to 3X the price of this sketch book! If this book works well with fountain pens, it will perform superbly for gel and other ball point pens. I highly recommend this product for journaling and other uses.

I found a sketchbook from 8 years ago (this sketchbook) and realized I had some of my most creative drawings and thoughts in it, so I ordered another and couldn't be happier. I underestimated how much size plays into the convenience of using a sketchbook. The size plus the hardcover make it great for on the go or casually drawing in bed. Furthermore, it takes pen and color pencil really well which is perfect for small, quick character designs.

this is the 3rd drawing book that Ive stuck with and I LOVE IT!!!! Ive always had to keep a scrap of paper so markers dont bleed through, but I dont need to worry about it with this book. Sharpies do show through, but do not bleed onto the next page. The size I got fits great in a bag or in my uniform's cargo pocket.I'll definitely buy another one when i finish the one Im on!6 years later... this is the only drawing book I'll buy. In the military, I've taken these on a few deployments and many, many field problems. My books have been exposed to rain, snow, sand, dirt, you name it. The cover gets pretty beat up, but at this point, I just glue a piece of vinyl over the cover before I start using a new book and it's almost indestructible (just need to keep the pages from getting too wet). I love the size, easy to fit in my uniform, any bag, my purse, or its discreet enough to pass as a regular book if I take it to a restaurant or around the office.

This sketch book is durable and portable. It is definitely not for people who like to draw big. I find it convenient to carry around in my bag for when I'm on the go, and feel the need to sketch something. I don't use marker on it, just pencil and color pencil.However I do feel like erasing the pencil from the paper is a bit of a hassle. See, it doesn't quite erase everything. I'm always able to erase just a portion of it, while some of the lines are left showing. I find that some people might find that a bit irritating. It doesn't matter that much to me since this is just a sketch book that I use on the go, not a sketchbook that I regularly use.

I had given up drawing a long time ago, but I decided to get back into it, so I bought this wonderful sketchbook! Granted, the cover has a texture that does make it appear a bit cheap, but it is very nicely bound and has no issues laying flat, thereby making it far easier to draw and view your work!The paper is of fair thickness, but any inking will show through to the other side, so if you plan on doing anything other than pencil sketches, I would recommend placing a piece of scratch paper underneath the one that you are working on to prevent any potential seepage (although it hasn't happened yet! You would have to try pretty hard).Overall, great product! I'm excited to fill this baby up as time goes on.

I've tested this sketch book with pretty much everything I have and while markers do bleed through it, it can hold really light watercolors/gouache decently as long as you don't soak the page and let it dry in between layers. Don't expect wonderful results though.Micron pens, colored pencils, and graphite pencils are good with this sketch book. It can take light markers (crayola brands), but not copic or prismacolor markers. I tried charcoal and pastel for kicks and found that the trouble of keeping it neat is not worth it on this sketch book unless you put clear duct tape over the page when the picture is finished to keep it from smudging. Still a very good sketch book. Lots of pages and very easy to carry around.

I was very disappointed with this item, the paper is like printer paper and it bleeds with most art supplies. I wanted to do some copic marker artwork and it totally bled and ruined the page behind it. This would be a good book for journaling or anything like that. The only think I like about this sketchbook is that the hardcover is really great and sturdy.

El cuaderno llegó con un golpe (punto menos para los almacenes 👎), pero gracias a que la pasta es lo suficientemente rígida no hizo tan grave el daño (punto a favor del fabricante 👍). Sus hojas son adecuadas para materiales secos, ya con lapiceros o estilografos la tinta se traspasa levemente. Se puede abrir totalmente ya que el encuadernado es cocido. Me gusta su tamaño: mitad de hoja carta. Recomendable si buscas un producto sin ornamentos ni aditamentos, es simple pero de gran calidad.

molto bello il prodotto, dimensioni esattamente come le cercavo, 14x20, pagine bianche e abbondanti, come grammatura non sono il meglio ma comunque assolvono alla maggior parte dei bisogni, per acquerelli o comunque cose "pesanti" non le reputo idonee, però sono bianche bianche.La copertina è bella, anzi, lo sarebbe se non per un adesivo grande sulla parte frontale (che non è quella in foto!) che non si toglie.. e per toglierlo la copertina in simil pelle è rimasta tutta macchiata, oltre alla fatica che ho fatto per toglierlo..se non fosse stato per questo dettaglio avrei dato sicuramente 5 stelle

Me parece un excelente sketch book si es el primero que vas a comprar, las hojas no son muy delgadas ni muy gruesas, la pasta es resistente y las hojas no se caen.Sin duda lo volvería a comprar

la expectativa se hizo real con esta libreta de dibujo, los acabados me han gustado mucho, es de pasta dura y resistente, la calidad del papel muy bueno, las hojas son como de150 gms, papel permeable y resistente, el tamaño esta perfecto para mi pues es muy fácil transportar, he hecho acuarelas y las hojas han resistido sin ningún problema. el cuaderno la verdad me hizo feliz.

Vale lo que cuesta, la pasta es dura y de buena calidad, así como las hojas que son perfectas para grafito, además es muy portable
