Works for me
It’s not a buck knife, but I didn’t expect it to be .for the price not bad it has weight to it . uses a spring bar not a coil spring to open . doesn’t wish to open all the way if knife is pointed straight u. p sideways and down opens all the way .very seldom have I ever opened up a knife pointing straight at the ceiling so I’m not worried about this. . The nice thing about the bar spring is you can bend it out or if you wish . When I’m not carrying it I leave it open to keep tension off the spring.the case for it it’s too big this knife is approximately the size of a buck 112 the case is approximately the size of One for a buck 110. I’d buy it again, gotta say I would prefer a coil spring one though. I do have a new Buck auto an an old conversion one . The old conversion one uses a spring bar this one .

Copy of a Buck Auto
Impressive copy of a Buck Auto. Fast opening at the press of a button. Problem, it is too difficult to close making it vertically useless. Can only close by pressing the release with extreme force using a metal object. There are better options.

It works
I will start off saying that this is not at all a bad option if you need an EDC or replacement for something you have. It looks nice and is a cool addition to my rather large collection. However, if this is your first one, it might not be a good idea. It is tolerable sharp from the factory, but nothing to speak of. The button to flip out the blade is hard to press. This makes it a little awkward and inefficient to open, and there is no alternative way to open it. Closing it is even more fun, because the spring is very tight on both the ejection and the button itself. Because of this, it seems to snag on the button a little bit whenever you close the blade. This means you have to be very careful when closing it, so you don't get any of your fingers holding the handle, and you also have to make sure your fingers don't slip off the blade. My last issue, (and I kind of expected this when I ordered), is that it does not have a belt clip. This makes it a little awkward, for use as an EDC. Overall, it's a neat looking knife, and it serves a specific purpose, but there are definitely better options out there.

Switch knife
The blade itself is nice but it will not close. It's too dangerous to have a half opened knife around. I will be returning the knife for a refund. The button didn't work either.

Solid quick release blade
Have you ever watched videos of influencers opening fan mail using some cool sword, axe, or any kind of cool knife-like object to open boxes? While I am not an influencer myself, I thought it would be cool to have a cool knife to open boxes. Scissors are boring. Luckily, I came across this MACADAM 440C Stainless Steel Folding Knife. Not only is it cool, but it’s also very functional. This knife has some pretty good weight to it and is solidly built. The blade is pretty sharp and easily broke down cardboard boxes. The quick flip-up blade is a little scary but is a cool feature. The knife is also very pocketable and comes with a nice carrier that can be looped on your belt.I’m not sure if this was a safety feature or if it’s just the physics of the quick release blade, but there’s some stiff resistance when closing the blade. Like another utility blade that I have, you need to press in a lever on the back of the knife before you can close the blade. You feel some tension shortly after you start closing the blade so there’s less of a chance to get cut. My other blade is easily closed, so it’s easier to get careless. You’ll need to get a good grip on the MACADAM knife to close the blade.Although, my reason for picking up this knife is a little silly, I’m sure the MACADAM knife would be great to have while camping or enjoying the outdoors. This is a keeper.

A Review of the MACADAM 440C Folding Knife
I'm always on the lookout for a reliable folding knife for everyday tasks, and the MACADAM 440C definitely fits the bill. This knife is a great combination of functionality and style. The 440C stainless steel blade is nice and sharp - it cuts through cardboard boxes and zip ties with ease. The assisted opening mechanism makes it a breeze to flick the blade open with one hand, which is super convenient.I also love the look and feel of the handle. The combination of black G-10 and stainless steel is sleek and modern, and the handle is comfortable to grip even during extended use. The included leather sheath is a nice touch. It keeps the knife secure and protected when I'm carrying it on my belt, and the leather looks like it will age nicely over time.Overall, I'm really impressed with the MACADAM 440C Folding Knife. It's sharp, functional, stylish, and comes with a convenient leather sheath. If you're looking for a quality everyday carry knife, I highly recommend checking it out!
