Couldn't use the power supply. I've ordered several of these in the past normally they work great. For some weird reason this power supply was strange.....the leads on the wall plug were not flat and straight as a typical wall plug but they were round and will not fit into the outlet. By the time I was ready to install my doorbell camera it was too late to return the merchandise.

This power supply is perfect for connecting the Skybell video doorbell where there is no pre-existing wires and/or transformer. It was super-easy to connect and very convenient. Its also great to have the extra length of wiring.I originally contacted an electrician and was about to have some custom wiring installed inside my kitchen near the outside camera. With this power supply I just made a few adjustments and simply plugged it in. Thank You OhmKat!! I will definitely refer you.

I was completely lost and almost spent hundreds on an electrician hard wiring my skybell to my house. This was as simple as plugging it in.

The stock power supply for my skybell slim is 12v 1amp. This one is 20v 500ma. The issue is this power supply would cause the doorbell to reboot every time the button is pressed. I verified this issue by switching between the 2 power supplies and testing the outcome. The power supply, however, did work with the wireless chime adaptor and chimed every time. Due to the reboots, I could never see who at the door when pressed because the doorbell was rebooting and not connected to wifi. Using the wireless chime with the stock power supply would not chime when the doorbell was pushed. I tried setting the skybell to digital, and mechanical in the setting neither one worked. Not sure if none would have chnaged the outcome as I did not try setting the door bell to none as the chime choice.

after having issues with this not working properly I contacted the manufacturer for skybell. This is not a good power source for them. This power supply has issues with pulsating current and is not consistent. This is exactly what it did to me. Threw mine away and found another power supply. Have had no problems since. hope this helps someone
