Origins 119510 Slug Control 450g, Grey

I've got a patch in my garden which is a slug magnet it's horrible every plant gets devoured and when I pulled back the "swiss cheese" leave of a plant that had been destroyed I was shocked at how many there were there. Since we can't just pop to the shops anymore I basically bought this because it was a Prime delivery and cheap enough.As soon as it turned up I sprinkled it and the very next day not only no slugs/snails but no dead ones. I've had to reread the listing to see if this is a slug killer or repellant but one thing for sure is that I searched the whole of that small border and where there had once been dozens I didn't find a single one! Now I'm just waiting for a nice day and I can dig out the plants which have just been too damaged and I have some lovely new plants which should give me a nice display in the spring.

These ones actually work! I wanted an organic natural non toxic slug and snail control as I didnt want to poison anything that wasn't a slug or snail. The description says that slugs eat these instead of the plants and then go away and dont come back in short. I used to go out at night on a slug patrol with a torch and there were always quite a few slugs and snails about. After putting these down I witnessed slugs eating the pellets while others were still eating the plants, so 50/50 satisfaction at that time. However, a week later all the slugs and snails seem to have disappeared completely! I've just been out at 1am on a cool night when they would typically be feeding on my plants and I didnt see one slug or snail at all, which is very surprising as I have lots of plants they like to eat. I can only surmise the pellets have worked as stated which makes me happy as my plants are recovering well.

I bought this as i have chickens in my garden and wanted something organic that would keep the slugs away. Previous to buying this the slugs had nearly desimated my new plants.The box is handy as it has a side pop out pourer corner type thing that helps you to sprinkle the granules around the plants.I planted new plants that were the same ones next to the slug damages one and since using this the slugs havent returned to the plants.Im not sure how it works as there are no dead slugs and no slug trails but the slugs havent returned. The leaves on the newer plants have been undamaged.Ive already ordered a second box and have recommended it to family.I keep checking every day and all seems ok so far.They do go mushy if it rains and i do replace some of the granules if they disappear but i am really please with these.

Slugs are dead and gone buy my cat has been looking a bit Ill. Should have looked into if it was for pets or not but wasn’t thinking when I made the purchase. Watch out for this pet owners

Over the years I have tried many different slug control solutions with varying degrees of success. This year I decided to try these pellets - the main attraction being that they are ferrous phosphate based pellets and therefore safer for pets, birds and wildlife etc.I have been using them for a two months so far (May and June - peak slug time!)) and I have been extremely impressed by the results.I have been using them very sparingly with a very targeted approach (just around hostas and summer bedding plants), renewing them once every few weeks and have suffered no slug damage whatsoever!!Weirdly, I haven't seen any slugs or snail (dead or alive) either so maybe these act as a deterrent??Either way I am VERY happy with the results and would definitely recommend.

Bought this to keep the slugs and snails at bay and it really seems to have done the trick. Unlike more toxic slug pellets, these (they claim) won't harm anything that might come along and eat the slug after it's died. Also, they must go somewhere else to die because my flower beds aren't strewn with rotting slug corpses.

This control chemical seemed to do it job around some new plants while we waited for our normal nematode order to arrive.Was a bit disappointed to see the pellets swell and clump after only the lightest of rain.We felt local hardware shop sourced pellets would have been considerably cheaper and just as effective.
