Birds Like them
Loved by the birds, I thought they may be too hard but seem fine. Overall a very good buy

Finally a suet pellet that works
We have struggled to find a pellet the birds will eat as they are all too hard and birds leave them. These Suet Shop pellets hold a shape but are moist for the birds to eat and they have been a success in our garden!!!!

Birds Love These! Peanut Flavour, Something Different From Their Usual. Handy Tightly-Resealable Tub
I normally buy a 12.5kg box of suet with mealworms from a well-known bargain store (won't name them). The birds around here can't get enough of suet (some recommend it as more of a 'winter food' to give them extra energy - but it can be useful during mating season. We had mum and dad blue tits in our bird box a few weeks ago). This 3kg plastic tub (with handle) from Suet Shop is slightly different to our usual as it has peanut powder as an ingredient (which makes this suet more of a yellow-y colour compared to the white we normally buy) - making it a different flavour for our friends to try.The tightly-sealed tub is handy to keep in the shed (with our own plastic beaker inside to measure out food) as the cardboard box we usually purchase has to be stored more carefully in the house. These Suet Shop Suet Pellets seem to be well-received by the local birds, I think they're enjoying the change as it's quite popular! At the moment I'm filling the bird feeder every alternate day (ours is pretty large, and holds around 600g). The bird table is empty every morning :)We don't need to worry about the suet going off during hot weather as it's still raining here!

Suet pellets
These arrived on time. However the lid was slightly off and a some of the pellets were loose in the box which was damp and therefore the pellets were also damp!!

Good value, just don't overfill feeders at the start
This is a good value tub of high protein suet pellets from Suet Shop – 3 kilos for under £10 at time of review. They look quite similar to pellets I got when purchasing new bird feeders from a leading brand. Our local birds love suet balls and the pugs love to hang around nearby to hoover up any bits that fall to the ground.Suet pellets seem to do reasonably well but don’t tend to get consumed as quickly hence it is good to see some clear guidance on the side of the tub. I’d avoid overfilling the feeder and start with smaller amounts of pellets and see how things can go. Birds can tell when feed has gone off so go slowly and not overfill. The tub is quite sturdy and has an airtight lid.Recommended.

Thumbs up from a layman
This is only the second bird food product I have ever ordered. I point this out because whilst I'm happy to give what I consider to be a fair and honest review of this item - I'm also not an expert in the field by any means! Just a novice with a layman's opinion. These take the form of small pellets and arrive in a fairly large transparent plastic tub that has a handle on it. When you open the (sealed) lid of the tub it smells like peanuts and not insects. Now, I don't know what an insect smell would be necessarily, but I think peanut is probably better than insect! There is no scoop included - you will either have to use your own or use your hands. I guess birds don't mind having human finger oils on their foods...? Or do they? I don't know I picked some up in my hand anyway in order to see how pungently (if at all) my hand smelled after handling the pellets and it wasn't too bad. I guess you should maybe consider using a scoop though. Sold separately. As far as I can tell the pellets seem like good high quality feed although I've previously confessed I am a layman. I base this on the look, the smell and also the fact that as & when I handled them they all maintained their shape and consistency as opposed to falling apart or crumbling to dust.I mentioned this being the second bird product I have ordered. Right now the first product is currently outside and got some interest after a day or two of no interest. I tell you this because I haven't put this new second product outside just yet as there is some out there already. You may think that devalues my review but honestly, even if I put it out right this minute it might not be a day or two before there was any traffic around the food, so I'm going to review based on my human impressions only. I have no reason to believe why birds wouldn't also be interested in the feed, and I am sure they will be when I come to put it out for them.

The empty feeder says it all, the birds love them
A 3kg tub of wild bird food suet pellets from the Suet Shop.I’ve only used suet balls before so wasn’t quite sure how to offer these to our garden visitors .I filled1. a small hanging solid feeder where food drops to a pegged hole at the bottom and hung on a bird feeding pole ..2 . a wired feeder with small open mesh hung on the branch of a tree ..The first feeder was not popular mostly because the pellets did not easily fall to the bottom . It was still half empty at the end of the day.The second feeder was emptied within a few hours. Both feeders were frequented by numerous garden birds and they clearly liked it .Brilliant as part of mixed offerings to wild birds ,I’ll be trying other products from this brand
