Easy to use, right tone
Great for training our pup although some dried fish also helps. Clear whistle, apparently the right tone for training (dogs, my husband has adverse reactions 😄)

Excellent whistle
Ordered a cheaper brand 1st complete waste of time. This is an excellent whistle the same as I used for training guide dog in the past. My OES pup has taken to this in just over a week now trained to the whistle at feeding time and for recall. Highly recommend anyone with a pup try’s this.

Acme Dog 211.5 Black Whistle
This Acme Dog 211.5 Whistle is the same model used and issued by Guide Dogs for the Blind for use when a guide dog is on a free run, It has a high pitch which the dogs are trained to return to their owner when blown, no whistle can bring every dog back to you - your dog must be trained to do so. Blow the whistle before feeding your dog (ie 3 short toot's every time before putting the dog's bowl down) and reward your dog for coming back to you when you blow the whistle when you are out on a walk etc (Do this EVERY TIME and reward with food or praise) it's not hard - just be consistent. I am a Guide Dog owner and I know it works

When choosing a dog whistle you need to check which frequency is best for the dog in question.
I have two, one in the house and one is the car. The ACME ones are by far the best as long as you know how to train a dog to the whistle.

Plastic whistle more practical than metal
Plastic dog whistle very practical as it can be washed easily and doesn’t stick to your lips in v cold weather !Note: Remember, a dog must be TRAINED to come to the whistle , if you don’t know how to do that, get professional help .

A great help
It works brilliantly the majority of the time with my 2 Springer spaniels in that with two sharp whistles and then calling their names, they come running back to me even if they are out of sight. I would have given it higher, but if they are totally distracted, you can whistle all you like and it make's no difference. Overall a great aid in helping to control your dog.

Good quality product
This is my second order and I’m very pleased with the Quality of product. Use it all the time. Was recommended to me by dog trainer when training my dog as a Rottweiler pup.
