Sync Hair Guard - Wear Under Swim caps to Keep Your Hair Dry

I swim laps, and this has been wonderful. I have dreadlocks that come down to my shoulder blades. I use a regular speedo swim cap and this product. I put this headband on first and keep it low around my forehead. I put dreads up in a ponytail. Then the regular speedo swim cap goes on. The bottom of the speedo swim cap sits right around the middle of the headband. My dreads are completely dry when I take both of them off.

OMG!! I have been reluctant to swim because it was just too much of a hassle to blow dry my wet hair, then try to curl and style it afterwards because it was always dripping wet after a swim despite my Speedo cap. It was so time-consuming. However, after using the Sync Hair Guard Headband, my hair is as dry as a bone after swimming laps in my pool. It is GREAT!!! I put it on first, then I put my Speedo cap over it so that it is under the cap and this "double-layer" effect, especially around my forehead, ears and nape of my neck must be the reason for keeping my hair dry. Finally, I don't have to spend an hour or so blow drying my wet hair after a swim. I would highly recommend this product.

Lap Swimmer, DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!I tied several different ways. It is very tight gives me slight headache, yet still never worked and my hair is soaking wet. (I swim slowly for 30 minutes daily)I was fooled by the numbers of good reviews, but read all of the good reviews carefully here. They are NOT lap swimmers' reviews. Lop Swimmers say it does not work!It may work for water aerobics or relaxing in the water, but NOT LAP SWIMMER!

Unfortunately, this like many others that I have tried still didn’t stop my hair from getting completely wet. Additionally, when I went to return they said it was not returnable but I did not see anything when I purchased it that informed me of that .. I would definitely not recommend this product.

I was really hoping this would be the solution to my swim cap problems. Although I felt like MAYBE it was helping to keep the water from leaking into my cap and out of my ears, it still would ride back along with the cap as it shrunk back into its original shape. I mean, constantly, every lap I swim, I have to stop and yank on my stupid swim cap. I must look like an idiot and not much exercise when I am always stopping to let the water out of my ears and pulling these things down to where they need to be!! After 1 week, I tore a chunk out it. I continued using it anyway. Trying to make it work. Another 3 weeks or so and it ripped all the way through. I thought about getting another one, but the cost isn't worth the benefit.

great for helping to keep water out of ears. i use this by itself when in the spa to keep ears dry, and it works great when head not fully submerged or when splashing around. also- when swimming and fully submerged- I have always had problems with water in ears, but with this product, now problem is solved when i use it with combo of silicone ear plugs and cap. NOTE- you must keep the back of the product low on your neck in order to have it cover your ears or it won't work. if you use it as instructed, this works great. good quality/nice looking. i bought black. awesome and super value. thanks!

I purchased this headband as a “addition” to my swim cap. I am not really a true lap swimmer, but I wanted to start somewhere and the one thing holding me back was my hair. I have thick long hair and once it is wet, it takes forever to dry so I decided to purchase this item along with an extra large swim cap that was made for long, thick hair. The headband works well with the swim cap but there are a few things to remember to do in order to get the least amount of leakage: 1. Make sure you follow the directions on the package. 2. It is fine to put your hair in a ponytail on top of your head to get stray hairs out of the way. 3. I found it helpful to invert my head upside down and then pull the band over my head and ears.It took some time for me to get the routine down but it keeps the top of my head pretty dry. The nape of my neck gets a little wet as the band will “creep” up, but I don’t have sopping wet hair. I can deal with a little dampness. Like most reviews of other products of this kind, there isn’t a perfect seal or waterproof product that will keep your head 100% dry. Again I am not the serious lap swimmer where I am doing flip turns and racing in the water. I leisurely do a few laps, switch to a different stroke, and then come back to lap swimming. I do not know how this band would react when doing lengthy laps, backstrokes, or flip turns.One other thing I should mention is that it is pretty tight around your head and ears so if you are uncomfortable to tightness around your face and head you may not care for this item.

Wore this the other day while working out in the pool and I really like this sort of band. It does a good job keeping my hair out of my face and out of the water and stays put. The only problem I have is the fact that my head gets quite warm wearing it since I'm in a heated pool. But I am a heavy sweater, so when I wear the band my hair is wet from sweat. But I guess that's better than wet from the chlorine. I plan on wearing this under my swim cap to add double protection from the water.
