Hasta el momento está funcionando muy bien, solo hay que esperar para saber que tanto dura el foco UV y lo único malo es que el caudal es muy bajo y eso que lo tengo en un acuario de 60 Litros. Esperemos que sea muy duradero, el material se ve resistente.Ojalá no me de alguna sorpresa en su primer mantenimiento y se me complique..

Filter is working amazing!! How can I get some more cartridges? Can’t find ‘em anywhere.

This HOB filter is pretty great. It comes in a branded box with the filter, one cartridge, the intake accessories, a few black bio sponges, and that's about it. It's very simple to use as any other HOB filter is with cartridges and that has it's own up and down sides. The UV light is what this has that others don't in the same way.This is actually the second one of these filters that I own and they are pretty great. The intake is customizable as far as you can attach the surface skimmer onto it or take it out completely, which I really like. As if you are feeding surface food, a surface skimmer will just suck most of it in and I don't really use them.So, this filter intakes, passes the water around in the back chamber near a UV light which is purple and can be seen through the black smoke plastic, through the cartridge filter, and then back out the front.It does keep my water clear but there is no way to turn off the UV light and I don't really like how you can see it through the plastic as I was always worried that it may harm the fish in my tank. So far it hasn't harmed anything but I'm still not a fan.The adjustable flow rate works very well but again this is a cartridge system which is disappointing since after the first one is gone, you either have to stuff this with your own filter media or frankenstein the existing cartridge into a new one if you don't want to purchase replacements.Overall, good filter that has very good flow with customizable skimmer options. The UV is definitely a plus but I don't like how you can see it through the plastic, although I haven't observed any adverse effects.

I have several fish tanks ranging from 125 gallon to 10 gallons. My 75 gaalon tank has a Tidal 110 which is more than adequate to handle the tank, but I wanted an additional filter so when I clean one filter, the other filter maintains my bio filtration until the newly cleaned filter collects beneficial bacteria. I like the UV option, however I think its a bit small for anything over 20 gallons, but that was not the main focus. The filter was eay to install and set up. It has filter cartridges with filter media on one side and charcoal on the other. I am not a big fan of having to buy replacement filter elements due to the high costs, but I haven't purchased replacement fiter media for this filter yet. If these replacements are as high as big name manufacturers, I'll just purchase filter media (bulk) and cut my pieces to size and then clean the filter media instead of buying and throwing away the media. Other than my remarks on preferences, this is a good filter.
