Monster Jam Mini Hoop

This is easily the best rim on the market. I have had a SKLZ rim for nearly 10 years and still going strong. The rim has handled absolute torture from myself and my friends and to this day still handles abuse with absolutely no repairs. The SKLZ rim is a close second, but this rim.....What sets this rim apart from the SKLZ is two things 1) It has a feel of an actual, real basketball hoop. The actual rim is very thick and extremely durable. SKLZ rim holds up and to this day doesn't miss a beat, but is fairly thin and doesn't have that real basketball rim feel. With the TEKK rim being so much thicker, it seems to absorb the shock of a shot better than the SKLZ rim AND 2) the net is so much better on the TEKK. It again has the more "basketball feel." It is fairly thick and has the funnel shape we are accustomed to seeing for a beautiful swish. The SKLZ, however, has more of a tube shaped net, not as thick, and definitely does not give the same satisfying swish you get with the TEKK.All in all TEKK is the best on the market and gives you the actual "basketball feel." Extremely durable and well made. Very easy to assemble (maybe 5-10 minutes) and comes with extra parts, a ball, and a pump with needle. As a person who played NERF basketball his whole life, my brother and I were always looking for a solid, perfect rim. I've been through a ton of them, and this one takes the cake ESPECIALLY for the price. An absolute steal!The SKLZ rim is still a great rim, and like I said I have had for 10 years, but I didn't know what I was really missing until I bought this one. You cannot go wrong with either, but the TEKK has won me over.Another note, this rims diameter seems to be maybe a quarter to a half inch bigger than the SKLZ which might help achieve the swish we all desire.

I have bought several in the past but this is by far the best!It can be slam and the ball is very good. the backboard is very sturdy. Does not break as fast as others.

Originally ordered the larger hoop for my son which he paid for with some of his Christmas money. He was super excited to receive it and spent many hours dunking, dribbling, and jamming. However, three weeks into his basketball bliss, a crack developed at the connection points from the rim to the backboard. One dunk the right way and the hoop broke off from the board.Contacted Tekk right away by e-mail and after providing my phone number, an excellent representative (manager probably?) was calling me within the hour to discuss resolution. The followup from that point was fantastic. I was provided options and after discussing with my son, we had a new hoop on our doorstep within ONE WEEK (!!) and a partial refund to my account to pay back my son because we chose to go with the smaller hoop which is guaranteed to be able to dunk and hang on. So far, so great. He is back in action and I am one very pleased parent. This company takes pride in their products and ownership. Feel confident doing business with them!!! I'm so glad we did!

Just got this hoop off the bat it’s great doesn’t make too much noise and it’s huge

Build quality is actually nice, way better than other brands.Issue with my package, the ball wouldn't hold air in. Contacted customer support for a replacement as the ball was defective, did not hear back.

We didn't use the backboard so I'm only reviewing the rim. I have 3 boys who have busted 3 other rims in about 18 months. We have only had the rim for about a week but it is by far the strongest rim I've seen and I'm certain it's going to last a long time. I wish I had found this one right away....would have saved me at least $100. I have it mounted to a piece of OSB plywood that's screwed to the studs and it works perfect.

Ok, I'll admit I was skeptical about this thing BUT BOY WAS I WRONG!! This thing is amazing and I'll also admit to hanging on the rim myself to see what's what, lol! I'm around 200lbs and this thing didn't budge or act as if it would break at all. Kids LOVE it and slam away in it. Yes, they have hurt their fingers on the rim a little bit but that's just part of the game itself and they have learned not to grab on so much which might just help them from getting "technical foul" in their NBA careers. Yes, I'm dreaming there about NBA, but it's fun right?Backboard is easy enough to put together and instructions are pretty good with pictures and all. If we had a area with two doors end to end I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one and have "full court" option. Buy extra balls! Foam ones are better if you don't want walls getting scuffed up. In short, kids love it and so do I! Pull the trigger and GET ONE!

The product is a lot smaller than I expected. The basketball is about the size of a baseball. The hand pump works but it's a lot of pump action to fill the ball that comes deflated. I used an battery powered tire inflator instead. The rim circumference is about the size of a larger softball. The backboard is sturdy plastic as well as are all the non-plastic parts. It appears to be primarily for hang over the household door type product. We can't use it in our situation. But we'll keep it for another opportunity. It probably will work well in most areas.

I was very impressed with the quality of this mini-net. My son destroyed the Franklin brand net with a cracked backboard in only a month. This backboard is significantly thicker and the spring loaded rim actually works to the absorb impact of dunks. (and hopefully save my doors). The design and assembly instructions are well written and helps you avoid scratching the door. Overall very very impressed for the price.

This has been the absolute strongest and best hoop my son has owned and used.I think all young children who use the hoop will invariably want to 'dunk' on the rim and this leads eventually to the destruction of the perspex/acrylic backboard.This hoop seems to be incredibly strong with a thicker perspex backboard. The hoop spring is also much weaker and so yields to the hoop flexing down on dunks rather than the backboard bending wich is what has happened with previous hoops.The accompanying ball and pump are not of particularly good quality but the hoop and backboard itself is excellent and well worth the purchase.

Maybe it could be better if it has a sponge tape that cushions at the base of the panel.

Amazing net! My son had a net by the same brand before this one and we assumed we ordered the exact same one but it’s much bigger and sturdier and the ball is actually nice quality . Keep in mind it’s a strong 14 year old basketball player that is playing with this net indoors & quite aggressively and it is so sturdy!! Highly recommend! We’ve gone through a dozen nets that break on him after a couple uses but I predict this one will last a while

Great quality, my son thinks it’s his best present. So much fun, super strong. Recommend!
