I got this to install along my skirting boards upstairs and night time for some added light.Upon opening it I was surprised that it was a bit thinner than I was expecting as I've not had this type of light strip before. So thought perhaps it's not very bright... Well I didn't need to worry about that as on full brightness setting it's extremely bright. I connected to Google Home and now it works perfectly by voice and I can adjust the brightness and turn it on and off, and even set timers for it. I'm really impressed and the added remote is a bonus if Google home is not working. Overall a great light strip and I'm thinking about getting another one for downstairs.

The WiFi works great with Alexa and lights up behind the TV excellent. However, the electrical connection inside the barrel connector was bad and only worked half the time or dimmed. It also got red hot. I ended up cutting the connector and soldering it instead which now works great.

First impressions was that this was a well packaged item.There was a reasonable distance from the power source to the start of the strip light, which is sometimes a bit short for these types of things. Compared to some others, the power side of things was substantial, with a large brick adaptor and thick cabling to the power socket.The lighting itself could be used as a basic light (ie, on/off) simply using the power supply to switch it, however, for best use you needed to download an app on your phone. There is a QR code in the small instructions linking to the app (FVTLED). The App allows you to set the strip light to various brightness levels and set up a few preset "scenes" (flashing, dimming, sound-detecting, etc). It also gives you the option to link them up with Amazon Alexa or similar - which, once you've found the "skill" (Surplife) can be easily connected up to allow voice activation and setting of routines, etc.The strip light itself is bright, flexible and narrower than a lot of others out there - yet without any obvious reduction in light emitted. It has a smooth coating on it so there's no jaggy edges and it has a removable strip on the back to reveal a sticky surface, allowing you to stick it securely.I was a little concerned about the two wires sticking out of the end, but I'm assuming they're to allow for extending the length of the lights if required - although at 5m this set is a reasonable length already.Finally, I also noticed some damage to one of the prongs on the plug - this didn't appear to affect the output, but was a little concerning. For this reason I've removed one star.

Not seen a full length Cob LED roll of light before and was a little skeptical about its longevity, however it retains a fair amount of flexibility and you can cut it at any point you need to, and then also rejoin it with the correct connection. It has a nice warm brightness to it and the sticky adhesive provides good retention on my kitchen cupboards.

This LED strip is exceptionally bright. To the point that i don't actually need the main lights in my kitchen when this and my extractor hood lights are on. Being COB the strip produces a very uniform light, with no dark or bright spots, so excellent for under kitchen cabinets, or as ambient light under shelving for example.The strip is very malleable and easy to put in position, though the adhesive is hit and miss. Some areas of the strip came down in very little time, despite the surface being full cleaned before fitting.As the lights are so bright, i installed a small LED dimmer between the power supply and the strip which works really well to set an ambient level. Though finding a suitable power supply was not so easy... There were no details provided stating power supply spec other than DC12v. I used a DC12v 3a 14w supply that seems to work fine.

This is a super bright ambient light strip. As stated, the one I got was without any power supply but luckily it mentions that you need a 12v 5a standard power supply that I luckily had already.Firstly, the light itself is not super strong. It's not flimsy by any means but best to handle it with extra care to avoid any damage. The strip itself is quite wide, just under 1cm however the actual light is fairly thin, probably 2-3 mm. Strip can also be cut easily thanks to the markings available. Unlike many standard LED strips, this one emits consistent light i.e. there is no gap between the tiny bulbs, hence you get a solid bright light when powered on. It has so many uses with its self-adhesiveness and it can make your ordinary things stand out like TVs, Bed frames, stairs etc.Overall, pleased with its quality and brightness and would recommend it. Just make sure you buy the option that comes with power supply unless you have one already.
