Femco Compact Oil Drain Plug (M20x1.5-SB-T14 (10 inch hose)…)

This review is for a slim-fit M14x1.5 in a 2016 Ram 1500 Rebel 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi.I was so excited to have an easier, mess-free solution for changing the oil. I purchased the slim fit one for my Rebel as I didn't want anything hanging lower than absolutely nessisary for offroading. It came in 2 days after it was ordered, a full two weeks faster than estimated. The install was simple and I tried it out with the last drops of oil left in the pan.I can see where people complain about the drain speed. It for sure takes longer, about twice as long in fact, to drain. It is a but frustrating but I will happily take longer to change the oil if I can do so with less mess.The design is top notch. I have full confidence in this product. I will be buying one for my wife's Stelvio next time her oil is due for a change.If only there was a way tobget at that stubborn oil filter without making a mess...

I installed this on a 2018 GMC Sierra with the 5.3L engine. Amazon said it would not fit my vehicle but I checked the Femco website and this is one of the ones they recommend. It does fit. I like the compact version because the head only sticks out around 3/4" after it is installed. I drained the oil and installed it while there was still a trickle of oil. Once installed I connected the hose a small trickle of oil resumed, so I don't think this will leave much oil in the pan. It does come with a copper crush washer and recommends 12 ft-lbs of torque. Will monitor for leaks, but appears good so far.

No mess, no oil pan, just drop the hose in an old 5qt and crack it open. Do your filter and go drink a beer. Come back and pop off the hose and slap the thread cap back on and you’re done (also put new oil in but you knew that).

Pay attention to the instructions! 15 ft lb! Use a torque wrench! I have not yet used to drain the oil from my Eocdiesel. I am looking forward to a no mess oil change. If you need to find the correct size, Femco has an application guide on their website.

I have a standard 5.9 Cummins. I bought the exact length as the standard drain plug. The threads were too short. Double check you thread depth required and remember that the washer they supply is much thicker than standard. Did they refund? Yes BUT they charged $30 for the shipping?!?!Make sure it’s what you need before buying.

Bought this months ago, just installed. Very nice fit, easy to use. NO MORE DRAIN PLUGS TO REMOVE!

Said it fits 2019 ford f150. It does not. Since Amazon guarantee its fit I bought it before time to change my oil. So i just changed my oil and found out it does not fit. Of course they say time for return eligibility is past. They should exchange for correct part.
