It boils water!
It's the simple pleasures in life that we need more of. The pot is just the right size and has the right look for my taste that it makes my coffee making rituals so pleasurable. The spout is just positioned perfectly to making pouring the precisely measured temperature (195 degrees for me) water with the attached temp gauge so charmingly simple and dare I repeat, pleasurable. Just imagine the bubbling sound it makes with the Aeropress and the aromatic scent of your favorite coffee beans ground to the exacting grain to make you that cup of perfect treasure. Mmmmmm. Time for a cup now just writing about it!

A great retro pour over kettle
I like how stylish it is, how quickly it heats water, the temp gauge, and the amount of water it holds (two mugs worth). The handle is comfortable and sturdy when pouring. When done using I pour out the remaining water and just cant or remove the lid in order to let the interior dry. My thought is that this will prevent any rust or mineral deposits developing in the interior. I use filtered water. Better to err on the side of caution, right? The only con is no whistle, which I don't require. If the welded handle bracket ever breaks loose I'll use some high heat epoxy and fix it.I recommend this kettle.UPDATE: I bought this kettle in June and it is used every day for two large mugs of coffee. It is reliable and perfect for my needs. No rust, no leaks, no problems. The only issue is me wandering off but I've trained myself to stay close by while it is heating. I love this retro kettle.

One of the better stovetop kettle’s
This is a great kettle to use. Works with our induction range, and water gets to the optimal temperature within 3 minutes. On top of that, water stays hot for the better part of an hour after reaching the optimal temperature. Easy pour, the water always comes out clean and smooth!

Good, not great
We use this at least twice/day to make pourover coffee, and many days it's used again for tea, water for cooking, etc. There are many pluses, a few minuses...On the plus side, I love the matte black, I really appreciate the temperature gauge, the water heats up very quickly, and the pour spout usually gives a nice even flow (see below).Somewhere in the middle: I mostly love that it doesn't have a whistle but I sometimes get busy and forget that I'm boiling water (see below for more on why that's a problem). In addition, if the water is near boiling and it's the last little bit of water, the pour stream is a little more "bubbly" (less even flow). On the minus side, I have found that the paint around the very bottom is burning off and it smells; I'm not concerned that it's getting into our water but it's a little off-putting either way. I also think the temperature gauge is less reliable when the kettle isn't full (it seems like it needs most of the metal rod submerged to be accurate). And lastly, as noted above I occasionally forget I'm boiling water and, similar to other reviewers, the boiling water can spray out so be careful!!Overall, we like it and none of the "minuses" are dealbreakers so we'll keep using it.

Perfect kettle
I was looking for a kettle that wasn’t coming to whistle, could go over fire, and also pour easily over a carafe. Found it! Initially I thought the handle was going to be hot. It wasn’t! The design is perfect so you can boil water over the fire or electric stove, and the handle will be the perfect temperature to hold it and pour. The only thing I will say is that if you fill it up to the top, the water will sputter out when it’s boiling. But that’s only happened a couple of times. I love the temperature gauge at the top. It will tell you exactly what temperature your water is and you will know exactly what temperature you water is when it’s in boiling range. I love it and would buy again!

Amazing quality. the mate black finish looks sleek.
I am delighted to share my experience with the Black Pour-Over Kettle with Thermometer. This kettle has not only become a visual highlight in my kitchen but has also significantly enhanced my daily tea ritual.First and foremost, the aesthetics of the kettle are simply stunning. The sleek and minimalist black design adds a touch of sophistication to my kitchen, and the quality materials used give it a durable and sturdy feel. What truly sets this kettle apart is the built-in thermometer. This innovative feature has completely changed how I prepare my tea and coffee. Now, I can precisely control the water temperature, ensuring that I always achieve the perfect temperature to bring out the flavors of my favorite infusions. The kettle's versatility is also noteworthy. The well-designed spout makes pouring effortless and mess-free, while its generous capacity allows me to prepare multiple cups effortlessly. The ergonomic handle ensures a comfortable and safe pour by insulating against heat.Additionally, cleaning is a breeze due to the wide opening, and the non-stick interior makes residue removal easy, guaranteeing a perfect cup every time.

Works great, but position it just right or suffer pre-mature sputtering.
Works like a charm. The analog thermometer is decently accurate, but I'd advise the use of a separate probe for precise water temperatures. If you don't position this just right on a gas stove, there is a chance of premature sputtering of hot water ruining the accuracy of your water weight. The construction is sufficiently thick. It's not super heavy or super thin. I've made batches of pour-over, French press, and Aeropress coffee with it for nearly a year now.
