Got caught unable to change a wheel
When my supplied tyre wrench wouldn’t hold the locking nut key efficiently and I had to call the RAC to help change a blown out tyre, this was my roadside purchase as I waited for assistance to arrive. Now if I get a blow out again I am safe in the knowledge that I will be able to change that defective tyre by myself.

Strong breaker bar, stylish too
I like the look of this breaker bar.Comes in a smooth black finish that looks the part. It has plenty of weight to it and feels the part too.The handle part is a bit larger than the stem to allow you to get a nice, comfortable grip. However, the handle part is lacking a bit of texture to get a good grip. If you're using this bare-handed then it is quite slippy due to the glossy finish of the bar. I keep some disposable grippy gloves in the car's boot for the kind of situations when this bar may be required but this bar could have been improved with a bit of grip on the handle (even cheap alternatives have some grip texture on the handle, for example).Apart from the lack of grip there's a lot to like about this Kirxst breaker bar. It looks great, feels very strong and it works well.I tried the 445mm length version and that gives plenty of torque to get the most stubborn of bolts on and off. When it comes to a rating for this bar, 'Amazon's choice' in this product category is less than half the price of this bar, is similarly made of chrome vanadium steel and has grip on the handle too (but not an ergonomic handle). I'm therefore opting for 4 stars for this Hirxst breaker bar as I can't justify 5 stars.

Excellent
After trying a ton of other wrenches this one was the one I kept as it handled everything I threw at it with ease.

KIRXST - Half Inch Square Drive Breaker Bar (445mm)
When working on cars you often come across a nut or bolt that just won’t budge and needs a bit of leverage to get it undone, which is where a breaker bar such as this one from KIRXST can come in handy. This particular bar has a really nice and strong, solid handle made from Chrome Vanadium Steel and measures 445mm in length. The head is made from Chromium-molybdenum Steel and has a 1/2" male square drive connector with a spring loaded detent to prevent sockets from falling off. It can also pivot 250 degrees, allowing you to get to fasteners in awkward places and to undo them, even when you cannot get onto it at 90 degrees.***** In The Box *****1 x Breaker Bar***** Conclusion *****KIRXST isn’t a brand that I’ve come across before, but I have to say that this breaker bar looks and feels pretty decent and the solid handle makes it quite weighty.Sockets fit nice and snug onto the square drive, with minimal play.I think the £25.99 asking price is fairly reasonable, although there are some slightly cheaper options available. Having said that, I was lucky enough to receive this to review, but if I were paying for it, I would definitely opt for the 600mm long version for £2 more, to get that bit extra leverage – A decent product for a fair price.

Excellent breaker bar
This breaker bar is excellent.Super strong and a very sturdy build. It looks and feels and is a premium tool. I have a couple of old breaker bars that have served me well over the years but this has just replaced my shorter one. The black chrome coating really looks the part. I'm also impressed with the knuckle it's much thicker than the one on my older tool so should stand up to some serious action. The only small fly in the ointment for me is the lack of a rubber handle, I'm a little clumsy with tools and it would be ever so easy to knock the paint or a panel on my car with this. I can't knock a star off for that though and thoroughly recommend this bar.

Well made
I have the 445mm bar and am happy with it, it is certainly made strong and has a long lasting finish on it, I used it on the weekend to undo the rear wheel nut on my motorbike as I had to adjust the chain and this bar was perfect for it A+

Rugged and well made.
If you've ever had the unfortunate job of changing a tyre, you'll likely have come across the difficult and sometimes painful job of getting the wheel nuts off... especially if they were lady fitted by a garage air gun!!.This simple but effective drive bar just relies on the basic principal of force x distance from pivot. The bar is a great length to take advantage of this principle, long enough to get the torque, bit small enough to take up very little rool in your boot or garage. The tool isn't limited to cars, as the socket end is a standard size, you can put this to use on any stubborn nut, or with a convertor, you could increase its versatility. The only gripe I would have is with the handle. It does have a slight texture, but it's quite thin (not much thicker than the main shaft). I would have preferred a thicker, preferably rubberised grip, just to ensure that I can keep a tight grip on it while in use but it's not a deal breaker.Overall I found that quality was good, the materials used seem strong and given the price, I think it offers reasonable value.
