1. Better instructions, especially when it came to the fountain attachments. A simple picture to define the output pattern would have been nice.2. Longer power leads from the pump to the solar panels. Pond is only 18" deep but to put the pump in the middle and not have the solar panels "in-your-face" would be better.Edit: stopped working.

*(1) this will NOT work at all unless you purchase the recommended extra “backup battery” for $40. Not at all!!!!(2) the first one I purchased (along with back up battery) worked nicely for a week. I was so excited that I purchased another one…with the extra $40 back up battery as well. That one barely worked shooting water just a couple of inches for a couple of days.(3) I desperately decided to buy two more in the hopes of mixing and matching all four and try to figure out which parts weren’t working. The new third one (with back-up battery) shoot water about 4 inches for 30 minutes. That’s it.(4) fourth and new one doesn’t work at all!!!! Not one second.The solar panels are in full sun all day long and hooked up to the backup batteries.I’m assuming I can only return the two newest ones. I wish I could return all four. This was a lot of money and for zero return.Our farm pond isn’t anywhere near electricity or I could have afforded a nice electric fountain for all of this money instead.It’s a shame. I was really pleased for the first week with the first fountain. And yes, we cleaned it every few days.Do not buy these!!!! Four fountains not working doesn’t make it a fluke. It’s bad design. Very disappointed.

I can't seem to find a solar wire cable compatible with the Antfraer 40 watt solar fountain. Any information would definitely help...The pump stopped working about 2 weeks after running while in the pond. I've seen a lot of comments with same issues. To help anyone with this problem I'm happy to tell you it's not the panels or the pump that's broken. It's a very simple fix. The problem is when the pump turns off it back flows any water in the tube back into the pump. In my case a very small peace of carbon stopped the propeller, the propeller is behind 4 screws. You can pull the propeller out it's just a magnet holding it in place. Rinse everything off put back together and your all good. Next time I clean it I'll attach pictures for everyone.Now about this cable if anyone knows please fill me in lol...

Works as described but this is for a very small pond. I’m talking like a 60 gallon outdoor pond.

I am very satisfied with this purchase. This filter and pump kit is very powerful for my 200-gallon pond, which has live fish and plants. My pump stopped working a month after purchase; however, I was able to speak with customer service to resolve this issue immediately and seek a replacement pump. The replacement is working very nicely. I am happy so far with the service and product. I am very thankful that this product exists as I don't have electricity in that part of the yard, nor do I want to have it installed there.

I have purchased 2x pumps (same model) on two occasions. The both stopped working after one day of use. I am now stuck with solar panels and a battery pack that came with one of the orders. I tried to disassemble and fix them. I suspect that the wiring is not water tight. I contacted customer support and after much back and forth, they decided they were not going to send me a replacement due to shipping destination. Im certain that this pump model is defected, and yet they still decide to push the product out. Don't buy from this company if you want a legit products. I can also see many other reviews complaining about their pumps suddenly not working.

I am very fortunate as I get a lot of sun in my front yard. So I redesigned my pond this year to eliminate grass cuttings from always ending up in the pond. The pond guy tried to tell me that a solar fountain pond wouldn't do, well the joke is on him. There was no way that I was going to spend money on something that I didn't need. I had to use a pond bag and put some of the grey stones in the bag to keep the pump weighed down, but that works! I have a 5 foot deep pond and the sprayer sprays high the more sun that I get. Even on a cloudy day, the pump still works. I don't have to clean the pond as much and my fish are happy. I'm glad I listened to my gut and not the pond company who was trying to sell me something that I really didn't need.

It's a good product and would have given it a better rating if it would have come with a small battery that kept it going when the sun was an out. No sun no pump.
