Really nice quality
We bought this to replace the one we had that wasn't that great quality. I'm glad we did. The camera on this thing is so much better, and much easier to control. The wiring runs behind a compartment so they won't get chewed on or pecked at, and works perfectly with the solar panel for charging. Once you set up the house where you want it, just sync up the camera to the app and you can start viewing right away. Or just take the camera and use it somewhere unrelated to birds or the house. The front of the house also folds down for easy cleaning and installing/adjusting the camera. A very good upgrade from where we came from.

I really love it but I don’t think the solar panel is working :(
The media could not be loaded. I got my super cute little birdhouse and painted it and installed it in my yard. It’s been a couple days and I haven’t gotten any birds and I’m noticing on the app that the battery of the camera doesn’t seem to be charging even though the solar panel is in the sun. I’m really worried my solar panel doesn’t work.

Thoughtfully build and holds the camera perfectly in place
The media could not be loaded. While I own several birdhouses, I like this one a little more due to its flexibility and design. The built-in stand on the top inside of the birdhouse gives me peace of mind that the camera isn’t going to accidentally fall on the birds and is securely mounted. While the entrance hole may seem a bit small for the chunkier birds in my area, I can always open the door and leave that open for them to come in and out. What I like the most is the solar-powered of the camera, you will need direct sunlight to get a good charge, but it eliminates the need for electrical outlets and gives me more freedom of where I can place my birdhouse. Made of wood, it gives you the option to paint, though I've chosen to leave mine as is. The construction feels sturdy and durable. The accompanying app is user-friendly, offers cloud storage. Now, I eagerly await notifications from the app to watch the bird activity in real-time. I hope my review was helpful to you.

Solidly Built Nest Box with Camera
The media could not be loaded. • Made from solid 3/4 inch wood with all necessary installation hardware included• Camera aimed straight down for compact design• Sharp, clear 4MP video quality• Camera comes with 32GB micro SD card installed• Initially, can be charged with USB (charger not included)• Solar panel for continuous outdoor charging• Easy to install and app walks through connecting to 2.4GHz WiFi network• Ventilation is somewhat limited, and the black roof may absorb heat.I successfully installed this sturdy wooden nestbox along with its solar-powered camera. The installation process was easier than anticipated and only took a couple of hours to complete. I charged the camera indoors for a few hours before installing it, and pairing it with the mobile app was smooth. The camera was able to connect to the indoor WiFi router despite being 100+ feet away and lacking an external antenna with only one bar of signal strength (just one wall to pass through). Additionally, it’s great that once the camera is set up, you can access recordings remotely using 5GHz networks in addition to the initial 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network pairing.I do have some observations about the nestbox design. The black-painted roof will likely absorb lots of heat, and having only one ventilation slot above the entrance hole raises questions about adequate cross-ventilation for nesting birds. There is plastic covering the two circles on each side of the box for camera operation, they are not ventilation holes. The 1 7/16-inch entrance hole is also slightly smaller than Audubon’s recommended 1.5- 1 9/16-inch range for species like bluebirds and tree swallows that I hope to attract. However, two visitors (one bluebird) almost immediately checked out their potential nesting site, so I may wait to see how this year goes before I add some ventilation holes to each side of the top.The "Tris Home" app controls the camera. (Shenzhen Tris Vision Technology Co, Shenzhen, China.) It is primarily designed for home security rather than bird watching. Basic functionality, like reviewing captured footage, is straightforward, but understanding cloud storage, subscription options, and privacy policies takes more digging. The App Store indicates information collected but ‘Not Linked To You.’The nestbox has a small and compact design, with an internal camera that points directly down to the nesting area. However, accessing the camera requires raising the entire front door, which is not ideal once birds move in to swap the SD card. Therefore, I plan to download the desired videos from the SD card as they occur to avoid disturbing the birds during the nesting season. The nest box is well-made, and the complete package is reasonably priced compared to similar models.

Cute little house with a decent camera to watch a new family
I put the camera in - very easy install - and then I used a metal zip tie through the hole and then used wire to hang it from a high limb of a tree in my front yard. I haven't yet had a bird take up residence in it, but underneath I have feeders set up so it shouldn't be long now. I'm very excited to see a nest built and eggs laid...then some cute little baby birdies to watch! This birdhouse is worth it for grandparents to show their grandkids a bird's life from egg to flight. A wonderful gift for parents wanting to share "nature on the sly" with their kids - and I mean that in the best way possible! It's not easy to see inside a bird's nest up in a tree - to watch the momma lay eggs, the eggs hatch, and after a few weeks, watch those baby fledglings leave their nest and start their own life. That's what this birdhouse, camera and solar panel allows you to do!
