Very nice stone, great color.

The so called stone was taken to a jeweler to be made into a pendant and we were informed it is not a gemstone but is a form of plastic.

Is it too good to be true, Probably.
Even though the stone came with a "Card of Authenticity" it does not look to be a natural Black Opal. It was from India, so I suppose they don't have to follow the truth in advertisement laws. For the price I paid, I suspected as much, so I am not too upset about it. But if you are considering an Opal and expect it to be the same quality as a true one from Australia, you will be upset.
