Secure Hold for My Hood and/or Trunk
The media could not be loaded. I recently picked up the 2 PCS Car Hood Support Rod Holder, and I'm impressed with its versatility and functionality. Here's what I found most beneficial:Double Duty: This product works for both the hood, trunk, or camper shell window/door, providing a secure hold for gas strut when I need to keep them open. This is especially helpful when working on the engine or accessing the trunk for extended periods. It keep from unintentionally getting your head hit by the camper shell door/window when it unintentionally closes because the gas air strut has failed.Strong and Stable: The alloy construction feels sturdy, and the screw-on design ensures the holder stays firmly in place, preventing accidental closure and potential injury.Easy to Use: Installation was a breeze. No drilling or tools were required, just screw the holders onto the gas strut.Scratch-Free: The anodized tool body is coated, so they grip the air strut without causing any scratches or damage.Overall, the 2 PCS Car Hood Support air strut holder is a simple yet effective tool that provides peace of mind when working under the hood, trunk, or camper shell window. The multipurpose design and secure hold make it a valuable addition to my car care kit. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add a layer of safety and convenience to their automotive maintenance routine.

You get what q pay for.
This is not the right one. The right one has the brass pieces at the end to protect the shock.

Worth adding to your tool kit.
Of all my family's vehicles mine is unique in that the hood stays up on it's own, all their hatchbacks have the same lift strut issues. This saves my head from damage and saves me from becoming frustrated.Open hood or tailgate, find the shiny part of the lift strut, clamp this on and you can be assur4ed the hood or tailgate will stay where you set it and not fall down on you.One day they will accept my offer to replace the lift struts, but until then I may as well protect myself.
