Don’t forget to connect
Put the umbrella together and it looks great. Tonight was the first time I went out after dark since setting it up, went to turn on the lights and they don’t work. I must have missed the part in the instructions where it shows how to connect the solar panel so that the lights work. Got it connected and the lights work perfectly.

Lights Do Not Work
The lights do not work. The umbrella has been in direct Florida sunlight for 13 hours and the lights still don't work. Appears to be false advertising.

Perfectly good umbrella
Pros:High grade materialsTop notch constructionSturdySimple to setupSimple to useAttractive, looks niceAngle adjustment is simple and easyOpening and closing is easyGood SizeCons:Lights could be brighterCrank system relies on a ropeThis is a good and durable umbrella; the spokes to hold the fabric open are thick enough to hold the shape fully open without unnecessary flexing. The fabric itself is a good quality fabric, being thick and durable in its own right. It blocks a majority of direct sunlight, I was able to see a little bit of sunlight through it, but not enough to worry. The main pole reflects the overall quality of the build as well. The one design choice that I have an issue with is that the mechanism to open and close the canopy is a nylon rope. If that prematurely breaks, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to fix it. As someone who holds onto things for years, this is number one biggest worry. A wormgear internal to the post would be a better solution, but would admittedly add a significant cost to the umbrella overall.I like the fact that this came with a AAA battery installed, just had to pop the solar panel off, connect it to the lights and I was in business. Could be that this sat for so long that the battery wore down in storage, but I feel the lights were too dim to really be useful. I'll give it a few days to charge in the sun and see if there is any improvement. To adjust the angle you push a rather significant button in on the joint to unlock it. Pushing the button does require a little bit of strength, however due to the size of the button it wasn't uncomfortable to do so. Adjusting the angle after unlocking it was rather simple, the canopy pivoted on the joint easily and smoothly; in other words I never had to fight against the joint itself, only the weight of the canopy.Be sure you have a hefty table or a really significant base for this umbrella. My base wasn't designed for an umbrella like this and wouldn't hold it even straight. As soon as I tried angling the canopy, the whole thing would tip. I grabbed an old patio table from my yard to help stabilize it, and that worked great. But I need to get a different base to use it without the table since I want to get rid of it.Overall I am very happy with this umbrella and look forward to using it this summer, especially in the Liquid Sunshine state!

Love this umbrella!
I didn't realize it didn't come with a stand (fell down the rabbit hole of amazon shopping) but the little solar lights are super cute. They do even provid a bit of light!Made well, it's big and the red is vibrant and pretty

Not bad, not great... One thing...
Purchased largely because I wanted warm LED lights, while many umbrellas have the cooler LEDs.My primary issue with it is that, while most patio umbrellas have the feature where you can easily pop the top half off the bottom pole (for convenience and easier storage) this does not. The top half with the umbrella screws into the bottom half, meaning that anytime I want to put it away I'd either have to unscrew it (which is virtually impossible with the umbrella in the down position) or unscrew the whole pole from the weighted base and take the whole thing out. We'll see how it holds up.
