I was Skeptical if it would make my music sound better ...But.....!!!
I was kind of skeptical if this little brush was going to make a big difference in my records sound. I used to use a magic eraser (which works pretty good) but after watching some videos on youtube regarding the stylus and how much dust and microscopic dirt build up on it (Which gets deposited in your records grooves as you spin / listen to your records)I decided to purchase a "Vinyl Buddy - Record Cleaner Stylus Brush" and see if it was all that it was cut up to be. I mean common I spend so much time and money washing my records (I use a spin clean) and it made me think "Why waste all of that hard work to just drop a dirty needle into the grooves and get them dirty all over again?!?!" And I also wondered if it would make my records sound better. So this is what I found after using it for a week now.At the time of this review it is currently a cold March in Wisconsin and the furnace has been running and dry air has been my enemy when it comes to vinyl records and static electricity. So in other words dust clings to my vinyl and I am always using a Carbon Fiber Anti-Static Record Brush prior to spinning my records. So I decided to experiment and play a newer record that was cleaned using my carbon fiber record brush and then played using the needle uncleaned. It had Pops and some clicks so the real test would come the second spin. I took the carbon fiber brush and cleaned it one more time and then used the "Vinyl Buddy brush" on my stylus cleaning it with a couple swipes (3) and then dropped the needle and listened to the same track again but this time with a cleaned stylus. I noticed a significant difference in sound as the pops and clicks were nearly all gone and the sound had a clearer sound to it!So after using my new "Vinyl Buddy brush" on my stylus I found it was easy to use and I feel that it does sound better which makes this purchase a positive one for me and my record collection and hopefully will extend the life of my needle!

I mean... I've used worse.
My stylus is perpetually ensnaring all sorts of microscopic dust bunny droppings hidden in the grooves of my vinyl records. There have been a few times when I'll throw on a record without checking the needle and after listening for a few minutes, I think to myself, "HOLY MOLY, why does this record sound THIS BAD? Terrible pressing? Heat damage? What gives?" And then, I see the gunk on the needle and it all makes sense. I used to remove the needle from the table, blow on it and flick at it with my fingertip until all the gunk was gone. But that ain't sustainable; I figured that one day I'd get too eager with my flicking and end up damaging the needle. So I came onto Amazon and looked around. This one popped up first. I said, "Ey. A tiny $10 brush? Hmmmmm. Hmmmm... Well... I gotta take care of my needles. Treat 'em like the queens that they are. Folkit! Let's give it a chance."Very easy to use. Intuitive. And it really does damn-near spit-shine the needle of all that gunk that can make your records sound like overly-bassy quivering messes! Good investment, provided you don't go losing it all quick.4 stars, though it's more accurately 4.5 stars. I rounded down because... it's damn near $10. But I guess it's a good thing that it's $10. It forces me to make sure to not lose track of it.

Works fine, but packaging and instructions could be improved
The vinyl buddy record cleaner stylus brush works fine, but packaging and instructions could be improved. No matter how carefully I clean my LP's before playing them, a bit of fuzz inevitably gets picked up by the stylus (needle) on my turntable. This brush was purchased to carefully get those little bits of things off the stylus, preserving the life of the stylus and the sound of the vinyl. The brush works fine for that. The "packaging" however was just a little plastic bag, which doesn't provide much protection for the bristles, and the brush and bag are both so small, they're easy to misplace. In terms of instructions, I use this infrequently enough that I need to turn to my internet search engine of choice to remind myself if I pull the brush from back to front or front to back of the stylus. More frequent users and/or users with better memory will be fine. Or I could print the instructions on a fortune cookie fortune sized piece of paper and keep that little strip in the bag with the brush.

Does the Trick!
After purchasing the Vinyl Buddy roller and LOVING it, I decided to go with the same brand when purchasing something to clean my stylus. Our family has cats and dogs, so there is always a stray hair or twenty (lol) flying around, along with everyday dust that always finds my vinyl as soon as it's pulled out of the sleeve. Occasionally, something will end up on the stylus and refuses to budge. Thus, my need for a cleaning brush. This little brush from Vinyl Buddy does the trick. The brush is nothing fancy...it does what it says in the description. It removes debris from your stylus. The trick is to GENTLY use the brush to GENTLY remove any debris from the stylus...it will damage your stylus if you brush it too hard, but that would not be the fault of the brush itself. Do I recommend this product? Absolutely. I would not hesitate to order any product that has the Vinyl Buddy name on it. Thanks for reading!

I think it worked !!!
I have been a record buyer fo my whole (it seems like that ) life. I try and take care of them and my equipment as much as I can. I keep my records clean and replace the cartridge on my turntable as needed. BUT there always is a product that comes along and helps the process. After reading an article on rollingstone.com I thought i would try the Vinyl Buddy. And I think it works ! I was using another brush and was not happy. When I saw the microfiber word I was sold. The records do sound sharper. So anyone who wants to try it I recommend it !
