This is a great night light for bedtime and a good sunrise alarm to help wake up naturally. We're using this in a child's room and it's a good queue to help with bedtime and nap time. The light dims our child is able to drift off to sleep. In the morning the light coming on slowly helps them to wake up naturally about the time we get in there to get them out of bed. This has resulted in slightly happier mornings on their part.There are multiple light and sound options for both the bedtime and morning alarms. Two different alarm options for those with varying schedules.

I came across this sunrise alarm clock because I thought the concept was cool and a friend of mine had already told me about it. I use blackout curtains in my bedroom because any bright light would wake me up, therefore I figured this particular clock could be the most convenient for me.The initial setup seemed confusing and complicated but after reading the included instructions, setting up the time, alarm, light effects and everything else was fairly easy. The clock is a bit large and powered by a USB-C cable that was included along with a wall adapter. Other features of the clock include a radio, seven natural wake up sounds, and customizable colorful light effects.It worked beautifully to wake me up on the first day of use; for the first time, I wasn't bothered by a light while I was sleeping. I had it set to start the alarm and sunrise light in five minutes. The clock's built in battery, which saves the time and all settings in case the power were to go out or the power cord were to be unplugged, is a really convenient feature. However, the battery won't keep the clock in a working mode, and the screen will turn off.I should note that this clock's light is incredibly bright that I cannot look directly at it. It is lightweight and could easily fall if a cat decides to show it some love, as this has happened to my clock, but fortunately it landed on a plush rug and didn't get damaged. The one thing I didn't like was how difficult it was to read the clock in a bright room.

TLDR:Pros: Decent options, relatively easy to setupCons: Not that bright. Only stays on brightest setting for 15 mins. Likely better for "easy/medium to wake up" rather than "difficult to wake up" individuals.The Dekala Sunrise Alarm Clock is a decent alarm clock. It has some decent features, but it really lacks in two important areas. Brightness and the time it is at max brightness.I definitely have major issues waking up in the morning, like big time, I'm basically Wall-E in the morning. My previous sunrise alarm, the Nature Bright Sun Bliss finally died and is not available to purchase. The Sun Bliss was super bright, and stayed on at it's max brightness for at least an hour, so it didn't give me much option to fall back to sleep. Plus i would definitely see the light through my closed eyelids and if I was turned away from the light.This item, the Dekala Sunrise Alarm Clock will wake me up if I'm facing it, but isn't bright enough, and doesn't stay at max brightness long enough to prevent me from falling back to sleep and hitting snooze on my backup alarm. If I'm facing away from the light I barely notice that the light is on.I'm a big fan of sunrise alarm clocks and the benefits of the gentle wake up and will be looking for a better, brighter, longer max brightness alarm clock.

**EDIT**This company reached out to me to try to help solve the issues I was having with the radio. They ended up sending me another clock at no charge with next day shipping. I am happy to say that this new alarm clock did actually pick my station up. I was so happy because I have really enjoyed using this product otherwise. In addition to my morning alarm clock, I now use this radio throughout the day, as it is easy to operate. You just push the radio button on and off, and it stays on the same station with your set volume level. This new one also has the option to be controlled through your phone with an app if you choose. This is definitely a good product to go with, as the company is willing to work with you if you have any problems with it.This alarm clock has a lot of functions, and I appreciate that they are all very clearly explained in the instruction manual. I love the feature of the simulated sunrise in the morning with or without an alarm sounding and sunset with a sleep timer at bedtime. However, I was disappointed that only the top 2/3 of the the circle light up. In the pictures, they make it look like the whole thing lights up, and that would have looked much better. This also has a color changing ambient light, which is a nice addition. This clock, unlike most, came with the adapter, as well as the cord. It does have to stay plugged in for use, which I prefer for an alarm clock. You don't have to worry about charging or burning up a battery if you leave it plugged in. This has different sounds you can pick for the sleep timer and the alarm. One is the radio, which is a key feature in my choice to go with this particular alarm. I always choose to wake up to the radio, specifically the morning show on a local station. Unfortunately, the radio function is very difficult to use. Despite actually having fairly good reception, this strangely didn't pick up my closest local station. There is no way to tune directly to any particular station. You have to let it do an auto scan, and it saves any stations it gets in. You can then push the buttons to go through those saved stations. It seemed to get quite a few, but some were just static. It does stay on whatever station you have it on when turned off and then back on, and the speaker sounds good for an alarm clock. Overall, it's a decent clock if you aren't getting it to specifically use the radio function.
