Lecol 7500 5Kg Wooden Flooring Gap/Joint Filler For New & Reclaimed Parquet & Boards

Excellent product, but doesn't go far so it's expensive.

Been using this for 20 to 30 years I recon. Drys quite quick and sands well.

I gave a lot of consideration as to whether or not to buy this, as it was so expensive, or to just use PVA. For anyone now looking I recommend the pva 100%. This product stank to high heaven was VERY difficult to work with and didn’t give the best finish. I’d barely got it fully mixed before it was starting to go off. Even now as I type this I’m looking down at the floor of my living room and can see where this product has shrunk over the 8 months it’s been down and is coming away from the edges of the boards. The pva has remained solid and has given a great finish. The only downside to PVA is that if you want to stain your floor the pva won’t take the stain, but if you’re not planning on staining it then it doesn’t matter.

A well recommended product by all the 'internet pro's'.It does what it says, mix with your sawdust and you will have a great filler.I will say that it's better to mix it to a slightly wetter paste than you may think, it will always dry up when filling an untreated floor and if you mix a big lot, will dry in the bucket.Managed to use a flexible 4inch wall scraper to fill the gaps in my floorboards.After sanding it looks ok, better than having to clean dust and dirt out of the gaps for life!

This was the first time we had used this. We used the 80 dust and mixed it with the Lecol for our parquet floor. It works really well but my advice would be to mix a little at a time as it does firm up quite quickly and we found ourselves getting tired quickly and also having to resand some parts (due to overfilling). You can add more Lecol but it would be easier to work with in smaller batches. It has filled our floor really well and as we used the dust from sanding it matches really well. One large 5kg did our floor but not lots left over. Definitely recommend this.

If you have got parquet flooring this is must!!!!!! Sand it... Mix saw dust with this stuff... Spread over floor.... Let it dry (10 min or so)... Sand it again... It is that easy to hide the holes!!!!
