Good For Day or Evening Wear
This Ardell eye shadow comes in a plastic twisty pencil style tube and is very easy to operate. The eye shadow is like having a slim glittery bronze lipstick and applies very easily in the same way. I have applied it over a normal day moisturiser and it feels very creamy and blends well with a finger – I really liked this look. But more often recently, I have been using an oil free moisturiser and the eye shadow tends to drag a little, sits much more glittery on the eyelid and is more difficult to blend and smudge with a finger. So really, although it says that it's a creamy eye shadow, it does depend on what you are applying it on – oil-free moisturiser and/or oil-free foundation might make this eye shadow feel a bit dry and draggy. The colour is quite subtle on my oliveish complexion with very dark eyes and hair, and I feel that it is very acceptable for day wear. However, on ivory coloured skin with a pale complexion, this would look good as a metallic bronze evening shadow.

Medium brown "Rude Touching" shade.
This is a really nice medium brown shade eye shadow pencil. The pencil is a twist up pencil, so you don't need to sharpen it to get the product, just twist up like a lipstick and it self sharpens. The product is a medium brown shade, but looks really nice on, and is especially complimentary if you already have dark eyes. It gives a nice smokey effect and applies really neatly. It is a super stay product and does not smudge at all, but stays in place for hours. I tried to use baby wipes to remove it after wearing, but it would not come off easily with baby wipes, so I had to use make up remover, rather than rubbing at my eyes until it came off. It will also last quite a while and is very good value for money. Not too sure about the name of the product "Rude Touching"... just a bit weird, but oh well.

A lovely shade of eyeshadow, but doesn't blend as well as I would like
I really love the colour of this eyeshadow, a really nice metallic copper / gold colour which has good pigmentation compared to lots of other similar brands I have tried in the past.It can be built up for an even richer colour but even one layer gives a great finish. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was that it does not smudge easily, which for an eyeshadow you really need as without any blending out it looks very harsh and a bit odd. I did manage to blend it enough in the end but its not as soft or easy as I would like and I don't like having to pull the skin near the eyes as hard as i did. Also on arrival the product had come lose from the tube which makes using it a little trickier.

Subtle Colour, Goes on Well.
Great little eyeshadow stick. Took me a few seconds to work out how to use it (didn't have my glasses on!) but it goes on well, doesn't stick, easy to apply and smudge etc etc.The applicator makes it easy to use more, like a sort of push-up-pencil...so it doesn't need sharpening. The colour is a sort of shiny, glowy brown, sounds horrible but does look nice on.Easy to remove, I just used soap and water.

Nicely designed
This is a hard wearing product that is difficult to ruin through the day! It doesn’t crease or run off, but I find it tricky to apply as it is a chunky stick. It’s too thick for an eye liner really and colouring in my lid with it evenly isn’t that easy. It’s not that sparkly which is a shame and a little more orangey than I’d like - if you are careful in shade selection though that shouldn’t bother you. The built in pencil sharpener is a fabulous feature and it feels like a really high quality product.

Mine was broken on arrival, hence 3 stars. Shame as the colour is lovely.
The colour on this is absolutely lovely, a gorgeous golden smokey brown, but sadly, mine was broken in the applicator on arrival. Luckily, I was sat down when I opened it, so it landed in my lap, rather than on the floor. I was able to carefully insert the broken stick back into the applicator, I can use it, but it is not securely held in the tube, so is trickier to use than it need be.This is a shame, as the other Ardell products I have received have been great. The plastic of the holder is robust enough, but this must have been dropped at some time to break it, or not been robust enough to stand the rigours of transport, so it's hard to recommend it.A shame, the colour is really flattering. It removed easily enough with eye make up remover on a cotton wool pad, and stayed in place well, without disappearing into creases.

A lovely colour, despite the odd name
This Ardell Eye Shadow stick is more like a crayon but this makes it even easier to apply, it just goes on really easily. The 'Rude Touching' colour, despite the rather odd name, is actually a bronze brown with a slightly glittery effect. It's quite different from some of the others my wife has previously used and looks great. We thought it might be a little too dark at first but it works well with her olive skin.Once on, it was difficult to smudge, so blending could be an issue there, but it's fine as it is in our opinion and looks great.
