I expected these to rust, but so far, so good. Very well made.

I was intimidated to make sprouts for the first time. This is soooo easy, literally soak the seeds, drain. Then continue to rinse sprouts twice a day. I had alfalfa and broccoli sprouts in 4-5 days. I liked the fact that the bottle stand allows the bottles to drain at an angle, so all water was drained out. I noticed with some other sprout kits, the bottles don't sit at an angle, so the last bit of water gets stuck on the lid rim, an invitation for smelly sprouts.

I have some plastic one similar to this but I have to say these metal ones are the best

I use a boiling water bath to sterilize the jar and the lids before I start a new batch. These hold up great to both dishwashing and the boiling water. I have had them for two months and do two batches of sprout per week.

I didn't need 4 of them for the little sprouting I do, but they seem well made and do the job of allowing air to my growing sprouts. I'll report back if I later find any issues with rust, but so far, so good. (Only have been using them for 3 weeks)

I very happy this set of stainless steel sprouting lids, I like them much better than the plastic ones I've had for several years. No concerns with BPA and they're much easier to clean than the one piece plastic ones were. I also like the fact that the screens all have the same size mesh that work just fine with the smallest seeds I use for sprouting ( broccoli ) to the largest ones. I have been alternating between hand washing them to running them through the dishwasher and there are no signs of rust or discoloration. I'm glad I purchased them and would recommend them to anyone looking to start sprouting.

Great set. Screens do rust but other than that. Fine set.
