Beginning History: The Great Fire Of London Paperback – 12 Sept. 2002

This is a lovely book that has gripped the imagination of my four year old grandson who loves the pictures and story which he is doing at school. He proudly took the book into class and his teacher read it to all the children, so I would highly recommend it as a first introduction to history, as it is simple and well illustrated so ideally suited to young children.

Very clear writing and good illustrations in this book. I bought this book for my 6 year old grandson. His class are studying this event in history at school and I wanted him to have a record to refer to at home. Even now a few weeks after the end of the topic he can still remember the important points and accurately recall names and the date.

Perfect for my 6 year old who has just started the great fire of London topic at school. Very easy for him to read follow and understand. Perfect supplement to what he has already learnt at school

My son started asking questions about The Great Fire of London a few weeks ago, so we thought we'd give this a try. He can understand most of the words and concepts being explained and the illustrations provide added clarity. It seems to have passed his test, as the questions have stopped although you do end up reading it again and again!! At around £5 you can't complain and it does the job.

Was purchased for my 5 year old son who is interested in history facts. He found it interesting and easy to understand.
