Your pet will be safe and warm with the MET Listed Thermo Snuggly Sleeper. The surface temperature of the K&H Thermo Snuggly Sleeper will remain 10-15 degrees above ambient air temperature when not in use by the pet. The product is designed such that the surface will only warm to full temperature when the pet is on the bed. As a simple test, you may place a pillow on top of the K&H Thermo Snuggly Sleeper - after about 15 minutes the under-side of the pillow should feel warm, but not hot. This is the warmth that your pet will feel when lying on the K&H Thermo Snuggly Sleeper. The packaging may temporarily make this bed smaller than described. Allow the bed to remain out of the packaging for 48 hours. Measurements are taken from the bottom side of the bed from seam to seam.

A good bed ruined by cheap material
My dogs refused, absolutely REFUSED, to actually rest on the polyester fabric. They would just dig and dig away at it trying to make it "comfy". I ended up having to put a rather large cotton pillow case over it for them to actually try laying on it. Afterwards, they love it. The warmth is subtle but alluring to smaller dogs in colder climates. It's big enough to fit two smaller dogs so long as they are ok with being butt-to-butt.

poor quality
For the price I was expecting something much nicer. Very cheap quality fabric and construction

Heated as advertised, crappy quality bed
This bed is a great concept, but the execution is really shoddy for as expensive as it is. Not much filling, not very soft, definitely would not be easy to clean. I have it on top of another bed to provide cushion and I have a blanket over the bed itself to prevent it getting dirty.I wish I had just bought a heated blanket to go on top on my dogs previous bed.

sides too low
The sides are a bit too low for the loft of the pillow

Medium size for two chilly cats
Bought this to help my two old cats (about 10 lbs. each) cope with the endless midwestern winters. They love sharing a bed but didn’t quite fit in their old one, so I decided to give them a size and heat upgrade. As instructed, I tested the heat before letting them use it. Plugged in with a pillow on top it was gently warm to the touch after about half an hour. The filling on the bottom pad is really generous and fluffy and the size is just what I wanted. The cats climbed into it instantly and as you can see, they seem to like it a lot.

Not very big
This is the large. It was a gift for my sons dog. The dog seems to like it, even though he has to roll up in a ball to fit. Just wanted to give a true picture of the size with a medium sized dog.

Very nice bed, but the dogs aren’t crazy about it
We keep it cold in our apartment, especially at night, so I was thinking that the dogs were getting cold because they weren’t sleeping in our room anymore. I plugged in this bed and it seems like the dogs would rather sleep anywhere else than in it! I don’t know what the problem is, either the bed or the heating element, but whatever it is, they’re not crazy about it. I wish they were! I’m going to take the heating part out of it and see if they like just the bed itself. You can kind of feel the heating pad underneath, so maybe that’s why. I can always use it as a heating pad for myself, so nothing is going to waste.I’m kind of paranoid about fire and leaving a heating element plugged in all the time, so I bought a fire extinguisher ball and set it next to this bed. You can see it in the photo. It made me feel a lot better about keeping this bed on all the time, and it’s probably a good thing to have in the house anyway.I will update about whether or not the dogs like the bed without the heating part. I don’t want to review to discourage anybody from getting this bed, because it does what it purports to do, and it is good quality, I just think my dogs are getting fussy in their old age. I wish I could ask them!

Dog fell in love day one!
Our dog is crippled up with arthritis. She LOVES laying in this bed. She doesn’t just lay in it to sleep though. She will get in it and move all around to get the warmth on whatever joints are hurting at the moment and then will just stay there for hours. Love that she gets some relief!

My poodle loves this bed
My poodle adores this bed and happily sleeps in it anytime of day or night. What is great about it is you plug it in and just leave it. I never turn it off and it is rated to be used like this (I would never leave some of the cheaper 'heating pads' switched on all the time - e.g. when not at home). I know then my poodle can use it whenever she needs and it will always be a safe temperature due to dual thermostat. I calculated at most this will cost me $13/year (30c kW/Hr) in electricity.

Well...
I don't know-this thing was made in China from who knows what and weighs next to nothing so I have no idea why it costs $120. The pillow that my beloved pet lays on packed down almost immediately and she seems to need to fuss around more than usual to avoid laying between the pillow and the base. I've got a K+M mat for another pet and they both seem to run a bit cooler than you'd expect but I guess you don't need your pet cooking to death. Had I known this is what I'd be getting I probably wouldn't have dropped $120 on it.

significantly over-priced for what you get
the bed is ok and does what it says (heats) but the quality and what you get should cost a fraction, like less than half, of what this item costs. the bed itself is low quality material and relatively small, something is expect at wallymart for $25 with a small heating pad worth another $20save your money and put the two together yourself or spend the money and make something far nicer and higher quality

Not worth the money
The heating pad inside the pillow does not heat up the pillow. My cat hated this bed and it’s just not the most comfortable thing. For 188$ you’d really expect something grand. But it didn’t even do the basic thing that it’s supposed to do. I don’t have any pictures because if it wasn’t this expensive I’d throw it out. Waiting for the refund.Would not recommend it for your pets.

Well made and designed, comfortable and no risk of overheating.
Wonderful size for my beagle, sides are firm so holds shape, but still soft. Thick padding so don’t feel wires or heating pad, and love everything is removable and washable. Will be taking this in the RV when we go travelling as Lady, (my beagle), won’t leave home without it! Lol.
