Incredible book
Huge, heavy coffee table book with some of the most era-defining photographs from the first golden age of Skateboarding. The images are fascinating to anyone with an interest in skateboarding... but to those of us for whom the sport become a life-long obsession... this is a treasure trove of nostalgia and happy memories. The fine photographs are accompanied by very interesting editorial, that gives more background on the skate spots, skaters and culture than was easily available from the magazines of the time.My favourite skateboarding book ever!

... even more so if you were involved in the greatest era of skateboarding so far
A superb book for anyone but even more so if you were involved in the greatest era of skateboarding so far: 1976-1980.I was there and I greatly appreciate this book. I spotted it on the Alvaskates website, Tony Alva's store (he's in this book of course) and was very surprised that Amazon UK had copies in stock. 14 hours later and it was mine! It's big, heavy and expensive but worth it. The Amazon packaging was utter rubbish as usual. A thin cardboard sleeve for a large and heavy book! Not surprisingly it had burst at one end but the book survived. Amazon are BAD at packaging because they cut costs and incur lots of replacement costs as a result, no class!

Love this book, never seen any of these pictures before and I lived and breathed skating the 70s great info to . On the down side there are so many large blank white sheets of paper or a few words written. It comes up a lot , could have had so many more pictures considering the author said he has many thousands. It’s a pity but still great early pool pics .
