I love the Falcam stuff: It's all super well made, well engineered, compact, and sturdy. They just feel nice in the hand and please the hidden engineer in everyone. My only complaint is with price, especially because you need a bunch of these to really make them useful. You need a base on every tripod, gimbal, mount, strap, etc. even if you only have one or two cameras. In fact, I keep finding more uses for these and will soon have spent more on Falcam stuff than on some of my lenses! The overall rating from a functionality and design perspective is 5 stars, but I took off a star based on value.

I have acclimated so many of the F-38 adapters over the years because the quality of the construction is outstanding. The design of the system is so efficient. I like these because they are super easy to install and because of the great constructing the tolerance between the base plate and the adapter fit together very well with little to hardly any play. The F-38 system is forever expanding, I am able to use these with several other components, tripods, selfie sticks etc... so it is a valuable versatile accessory.

Amazing. I have four Falcam kits and plan to buy more. My APSC and lights can now switch easily between different tripods with this kit. I also have the Falcam backpack camera clip and the camera strap clip which works great with the QR plates.

I ordered one of these on sale elsewhere as a kit and after using this setup, came here and order 4 more v2 base plates and release plates. I've now mounted these on all of my ballheads and tripods. The v2 base plate has a much improved button.Being able to quickly move my cameras from shot to shots has saved so much time as a solo creator. When you have enough of these you can just leave the release plates on your cameras and know you can quickly get things done.They're so secure I use them on my overhead rig, with a larger camera and monitor, and a vertical head.I've seen some reviews mention difficulty removing because they forget which way it slides in and out. On the V2 Base Plate the button has the icon for locking the button. The right side is the unlock icon. This is also the direction to remove it. If you are on the other side, the F in Falcam is the direction. Give it a try. It has helped me a lot.
