Surprisingly stable
I was concerned that an adjustable stand like this would be wobbly - especially with my 40" wide, 40 lb mixing console on it - but I just couldn't pass up the great deal I got, so I gave it a try. I need to be able to move my setup on and off a gymnasium floor, so everything has to have wheels. So I drilled and tapped the thick plastic feet and installed threaded casters, and even with the wheels, it makes an impressively sturdy platform for my mixer.

Great stand for a mixer, preferably if you're sitting
I was looking for a solution for an Allen & Heath QU-16 digital mixer, which I use to mix from the stage as I perform. I had hoped this QuikLok stand would have given me maybe 5 inches more of height, but it balances out with it's sturdiness versus a keyboard stand which might be taller, but less sturdy.Once set up to the height you want, it's best to set and forget, as the spring-loaded pins that lock the legs in place when adjusting the height are a total pain to adjust. I won't be adjusting them again. The legs fold up into itself so it's flat and can be stored easily for travel, but as you might expect, sturdiness isn't lightweight. It's not super heavy, but it's not something you can squeeze under your arm while you're carrying five other things into the gig.For a sitting mix position, this is a great solution. Standing mix position, it's kind of the only solution. I haven't found a better one yet.

Solid and Stable Product
This is an awesome product with a very good design. It is intuitive and I use it to hold a dual CD Deck that I use. The movement an adjustment is simple and straightforward. This thing has all kinds of possible applications as a stand - even unforeseen ones. I am pleased.

Great stand.
Ideal for setting my rack and mixer on. Heavy duty metal seems sturdy, like it will hold up a long time. Folds up fairly small for easy storage. I bought it last summer, and haven't had one regret.

Nice stand but mine was wobbly.
This stand is heavy and appears to be sturdy but it would not sit level as one of the legs was shorter than the rest. I sent it back...

poor quality, not what they used to be
I have owned Quiklok products for years and the stands that I do own are very solid and well built. Back then, the stands were made in Italy. Now they're made in China, and the quality difference is obvious. First, the weld quality is very poor compared to the older stands that I already own. Second, the stand does not sit level; in fact, one leg is almost a half inch shorter than the rest. There is no way I am going to put a rack case of expensive gear on a stand that wobbles like the WS540 that I just received.

It's very sturdy and folds easy to save space
It's very sturdy and folds easy to save space. The only negative is it's low even at it tallest setting. So if you mix standing up it would be too low. It works well for me because I mix from my iPad.

I recommend the WS-550
I bought this stand for my Yamaha P125-88 keys piano; it will do, but I wish now that I had purchased the wider Quik Lok WS-550. I didn't realize at the time of purchase that this was the narrow version. I recommend the WS-550.
